let me tell you a little about myself, i am male 16 / Los Angeles/ Korean American / Artist.
right now my life is very mundane, i eat sleep go to school, come home, not study and play sc. my sense of clothing is very simple but i love fashion, not so much of abercrombieish fashion but more like pop culture fashion like bape. Im also really into shoes,graffiti art, and breakdancing. i love the "hip hop world", but no1 knows that because i dont look like anyone who would, just a korean starcraft playeer who wears white t shirts and khaki pants everyday. i also dont have a job, which sucks. im trying to look for one.
basically i want my life to go from
unfashionable person/no job / plays starcraft all day/ -->
----> dresses nice,especially nice shoes, / have a good job to buy clothes that i cant afford/ know how to do graffiti art/ immerse myself into the community which i would love to be in which are the bboys the sneakerheads, clothe designers.
i think its too much to want for myself being an 11th grader,but i dont care much about studies, i just want to live life.
thing is: how / where do i start? i dont know anyone that i can get acquainted with and get started. most of the people i know are just like me. they go to school and stay home to study with not much outside life.
i see potential in myself for being able to do grafitti art well but i cant think of any way to find someon who goes graffiti art who can help get me started.
i know theres a lotta things to do in l.a, cuz there are many shows and meets and the pop culture world is especially big here but i cant find any oppurtunities to be a part of it.
i really dont knwo what to do. i feel like im stuck in my home wishing for a lotta things.
do you think i am thinking and wanting a little too much for someone so young? or do you cheer me on?

colleges look at 8~12, and if you save yourself the last 2 grades and do well, they might accept you

don't be a lazy sob. study, find a good job, and help out your family. I'm older than you, past my school days, and I can tell you one thing for sure that had I studied and made the grade I would have a lot more opportunities.
don't take the easy way out, don't be lazy. focus and study. if you have problems in school, consider that you might have a learning disability. a lot of people don't realize they have a learning disability, and think that they are just lazy or procrastinate, until it is too late. you might have any number of things like adhd, dyslexia, etc.
just study is all i'm saying.

I think you could accomplish your goal for sure, IMO you should be setting a higher goal/redo your priorities in life. Unless you really like the idea and don't mind being stuck with it later without other options.

I'm not exactly sure why you would want accomplish goals such as wearing nice clothes? Are you looking for a girl or something? At this point in your life as well as mine I would assume studies would be more important than anything. And besides... It is a bit too late to change all that just for the appearance and acceptance from other people. You have less and a year and half from high school, just continue what you are doing only change your hobby from so much starcraft to something a bit more productive.

ya exactly what qbert said, or maybe start with a part time job somewhere, sooner or later you'll find out playing alot of games is useless, progamers only play because its pretty much they're jobs (i think)

Change who you are inside if you want meaningful relationships and good opportunities. Change who you are outside if you want one night stands and fake, superficial friends.

getting a job at pizza hut, mcdonalds, KFC etc... are simple if you can speak english easily. I walked in and said if I can get a job, they asked me if I am fluent in english and they handed me a contract. easy as 1 2 3

you dont know what his true priorities are, not everyones "true" priorities are studying their asses off and pursuing higher education
i'm not saying he has everything figured out but you telling him to do something that makes him unhappy isn't really a good place to start

You all want him to study? These are true priorities to him? When do you all become arbitrators and dictate other peoples lives and priorities. It seems he already it the poser and he wants to be something he is. You all want to be successful and achieve something through your studies but is that really what you want? or are you scared away because it may be shallow or have no benefit or logical priority besides what you have to do? He wants to be himself and not impress other people. If that means spending absurd amounts of money on shoes and working at KFC all his life let him do it if that is what he truly enjoys. We all act out on things we truly enjoy. This is the samething except you are all too selfcentered to really understand the similarities. Let him do what he wants and quit calling him a poser. If a homosexual comes out of the closet and says he wants to live a new lifestyle one he finds he can be more of himself are we all going to tell him to go and study?
