Axiom's situation
Although it is hard to say where Axiom is standing currently with some of their matches missing, a fifth loss conceded here gives them an overall negative score. Considering their games-in-hand are against Millenium, Team Liquid and a increasingly stronger Quantic, their playoff chances would look anything but hot.
MVP's situation
On the one hand, a sixth loss for MVP puts them on the current line between playoff heroes or stay-at-homes. On the other hand, a win here is possibly all they need to salvage the bad second season half and at least make it to the playoffs if other games play out as expected.

He hasn't been sent out much but there's no real ace to take over. At least no pattern in ATC.
