After a ‘brief’ hiatus (just like our latest Bi-Weekly Wrap Up) Clarity Gaming is back to reclaim it’s formerly consistent content. Before we get to it we would like to sincerely apologize for our absence and thank everyone for their continued support! If you’re curious about what we have been doing the last month or so, check out the Bi-Weekly Wrap Up thread that we published last week: Click Here.

February was a slow month, with Heart of the Swarm on the horizon and the final Wings of Liberty tournaments wrapping up, we decided to hold off on our February Player of the Month to announce it in conjunction with March. March's Player of the Month will be announced in a couple of days, so keep an eye out for that as well! If you didn't catch our winner for January, you can find that right here.

Clarity Gaming strives to highlight some of the players that might not necessarily get the most notoriety for their victories, but who have nonetheless achieved great success at premier events around the world. For the month of February we would like to recognize Quantic's(Z)HyuN, the winner of one of the last WoL tournaments: the Ritmix RSL.

Congratulations to Quantic Gaming's (Z)HyuN! He performed very well at the Ritmix Russian StarCraft II League, taking down top-notch competitors including Axiom's (T)Ryung, as well as Karont3's Duran brothers - (Z)VortiX and (T)LucifroN. I got to catch up with him on his victory and had a quick talk with him about his GSL Code S Ro32 group:

A Special thanks to our translator Jay ‘nAge’ Jeon for translating this interview!

First off, congratulations on being Clarity Gaming’s Player of the Month for February! How do you feel about this achievement?

I didn’t realize you had this ‘player of the month,’ but I am happy that I have been chosen. I hope I get more chances to do these interviews.

You are now on Quantic Gaming after the disbanding of TSL, how are your relations with the other team members and management?

As a member of the new team, I am keeping a good relationship with the management staff.

You are known for being an online champion, what is your opinion about this title and the

importance of online events compared to live events?

Of course, I would like to be the king of ALL tournaments, not just online. I think the comfort of playing at home really has positive effects on my play.

With the victory of the RSL, you have won the last big WoL tournament. How important was this victory to you and how do you hope this performance will translate into Heart of the Swarm results?

With the RSL being the Last Wings of Liberty tournament, I am glad that I finished on a high note. With the momentum on my side, I will continue doing well in Heart of the Swarm.

You had some hard fought battles in the RSL, but you performed well against LucifroN both times you faced him. In your opinion, how is the overall skill level of foreigners and how HotS’ increased skill ceiling will affect some of the foreigners that don’t have a chance to practice all day like in the Korean practice style?

There are foreigner players that are extremely skilled. For my matches against Lucifron, I think it was very hard for a top class zerg to lose to terran in Wings of Liberty. I hope that foreigners and Koreans continue to have a healthy competition in Heart of the Swarm.

Later this month, you will be playing in your GSL Ro32 group with (T)GuMiho, (T)INnoVation, and (P)Rain. What do you think your chances are in this “group of death”, who is the most dangerous player in this group for you?

It is true that I feel great burden being in the ‘group of death’. However, as I have always done, I will overcome this obstacle with copious practice. I think both Innovation and Gumiho are extremely dangerous players, given that they are great multi-taskers. I think learning to deal with medivacs will be the key to succeeding in the group.

WCS's tournament structure was just announced a few days ago by Blizzard, what do you think about the regional locking?

It was a surprise, but as a player, I have to accept the rules. I think the setup may actually benefit me.

With WCS being structured the way it is, Korea has fewer opportunities for players trying to compete. Are you happy with your position or are you considering going to other regions to compete?

This is something that I am still thinking about. As I am currently in Code S, I will have to decide after the tournament.

Thank you for the interview, good luck for the rest of the year! Any shout outs for your team or to your Friends/fans/family?

Thank you for having this interview! I hope that my progamer friends, as well as I, have great results this year. I am always thankful to the fans that root for me and I hope they keep watching, as I intend to continue with my dominating performance.

With the addition of Hyun in our Players of the Year, we now have two of the four group leaders established! March's Player of the Month will be announced in a couple of days, so keep an eye out!

At the end of the year, ten other players hand selected for their accomplishments throughout 2013 will face off in a double-elimination style tournament preceded by group play (seeded according to Month Won, alternating between each group). This means (Z)Goswser will be leading Group A, Hyun group B, and our March PotM will lead Group C. Further tournament details will be revealed towards the end of the year!

Happy to see HyuN get this recognition

Hope to see him make it to the Ro16 in the second group of death and prove he can play offline with the best.

I really enjoyed reading this. Hyun is a great player to spotlight. Unknown but extremely good. I'll be rooting for him in GSL...although his group is very difficult.
