Are korean grandmasters top 100 sponsored?

I've always wondered if korean grandmasters are sponsored. But we never really hear anything about anyone else besides NesTea, DRG, HerO, ViOlet.

Is there something i'm missing? If minigun and idra can make professional gaming salary, why can't these top 100 korean server Grandmaster ? Or maybe they do?

I'm currently masters on KOR/TW, and if you view top 200 Grandmaster league, it's all names: lllllllll.

I would say if you are GM on Korea you are probably on a sponsored team or clan. The reason they are all barcodes is because they don't want people to know who is who and steal/prepare for their builds.

There's probably actually only like 50 people in KR GM, just with multiple accounts eg: CreatorPrime had #1,#2 and #3 for a while back, MKP has lots of accounts too.

minigun and idra are sponsored because they're well known, fame trumps skill to sponsors
