Jree, the support who subbed for CLG.eu @ LSC2, and his team will be entering the BYOC bracket.

Apparently his team was the #1 ranked 5 teams on EU. :O

I'm kind of hoping CLG.EU just go and pick up Jree as their season 3 sub, his synergy with them at MLG Dallas was really impressive considering how little time they had to practice before hand.

The tournament format is really harsh on the BYOC teams. They play 5 rounds on day 1 then play up to a maximum of 9 games on day 2 - 3 bo1 round robin, bo3 semis and finals.

I'm confused. You've got all the BYOC games happening at the same time as the group stages. What day are the BYOC games and what day are the group stages?

Edit: So I missed that there were group stage games on Friday. I guess they're going to send the poor BYOC teams through the ringer then. Rough schedule indeed.

Didn't CLG.eu win the last DH through BYOC bracket?

edit: and tbh, it's just a grueling amount of games, that bracket should be stomps 90% of the games anyways. zz

DreamHack Summer was a 3 day tournament with BYOC day 1, Group play day 2, Playoffs day 3. Don't know why they're only using 2 of the 3 days at DH for LoL.

as someone who played the BYOC last DH. Indeed it IS a rough schedule (we were finished at about 12 with playing the whole day).
Some things about BYOC: it is kinda seeded so it is really unlikely to have several good teams playing each other and most likely the known good teams in the byoc will go through. You also have to play within the masses and have people left and right of you playing (other) games and screaming at each other. In addition to that you dont have good chairs/tables (thats actually kinda a big deal

)

I was thinking it was probably because IEM is also happening, but I just realized that now they completely overlap LOL. Makes no sense to me either.
