and Nal_rA has only been around for what? 2-3 years, and GARIMTO has won 2 starleagues (SKY 2001 and FreeChal), and most people would say that OGN starleagues take more skill than MBC Starleagues, so there. and im sure steve was joking about ra. im not saying im a Ra hater or anything, its just that ra is one of the top players, but not the best in history. | ||

Garimto sure accomplished a lot during a short period of time, but it doesn't change the fact that he has not made more accomplishments than nal_ra. You may also want to add that during the FreeChallenge days when Garimto won the starleague, the competition was nowhere near as tough as during the days when nal_ra won his starleagues. Garimto did win an OSL when competition was more fierce, but that doesn't take away anything from ra's two starleague wins. Other than that, ra has made numerous other high place finishes in leagues, where Garimto didn't. And give me 1 good reason why OGN starleague takes more skill than MBC Starleague | ||

OGN is also more popular, thus you are under a bit more pressure, and then you have to produce a more 'better' game than usual. and about the MSL is not a starleague, i think all of us teamliquidians regard the term 'starleague' as the ongamenet starleague and not the MBC starleague, we obviously use the term MSL as MBC starleague, but you didnt state that in your statement so yeh. and about freechal not being fierce or whatever, i think players like bassy and alike were pretty good back then. | ||

24 players also compete for the MSL title. 4 of the top seeded players from the previous MSL remains. OGN is also more popular? Only in teamliquid. MBC provides the same exact prize rewards for its top finishers. It air on its own cable channels. It has the same exact players trying to qualify for it as OGN (Name me 1 OSL participant who tried to qualify for OSL and not MSL). It's the same f'n starleague deal, just different name. If anything, winning an MSL is HARDER than winning an OSL simply because it has a double elimination format. Double elimination >>>>>>> single elimination, that's not even debatable. Double elimination reduces the luck factor by a significant amount. In OSL, players even get to pick their opponent. MSL in general has produced more skilled champions than OSL. IPXZerg is certainly more dominating than Anytime, and so was pretty much almost every single previous MSL winner. Take the list of MSL champions in each starleague and line them up against OSL champions in each starleague and compare. | ||

Although prize money is basically the same for each starleague, and it's the same pool of players trying to win it, so I can't see it as any other way than the two being generally the same in their level of competition. But yeah, lets drop the offtopic argument. | ||

But, we are looking to expand coverage. The only thing is, is that it is harder to get reliable VOD's or broadcasts of MBC than OGN. Lets stay ontopic please. | ||
