Hello TL.

I'll make it short: It is hard (for me) to find players for melee custom maps. I think we have a lot of great maps, and I want to play on them. Also, I think it might be difficult fo mappers to find someone to play there maps, to get feedback.

The Solution: The "MeleeMapTesting" Chatchannel. Meet other players who are interested in melee maps beyond standard ladder maps.

I'll be there as often as possible. =)

I am sure you can find people to help test your maps in channels such as the public channel "looking for custom games", or the TL channel, but this will help I am sure

in "looking for custom games" are mostly people witch want to play popular mod-maps. Where is the TL channel?

I have trouble finding players to test melee maps as well. This affects every mapper, and I ask in every channel that has a soul in it. It's a matter of who is willing to give up their time to test it, and that's completely out of our control whether we have a channel for it or not.

I am sure there are people who are willing to test the maps, but they can't find you, and you them, I hope this will help alot and personally I will be willing to test alot of maps, cause it is so fun playing in a new map.

Well, I like to play and test custom maps. But I can't play them alone. ^^ And I think also other mappers would test maps, if in return someone tests there map.

I am bumping this since I think it is a shame it is empty, I ask everyone in the EU that wants to help or be helped with the map scene to come to this channel!

This seems like a nice idea, i'd suggest making something a lot shorter to type (MMT maybe?) so more people will just do it. Also one for NA would be nice <3 i'd be able to stop bugging my friends

I think this deserves a bump. More people should join this channel. Mappers could trade tests with eachother, and players could just enjoy a variety in maps.

I check in most days but the problem is that swap tests are quite cumbersome. Most mappers (and certainly those in this channel) are already on TL and so will already be able to give feedback anyway. Meanwhile a lot of mappers would prefer to just spend the time on their own map, so not a lot of people turn up.

This is a step in the right direction! I'll definetly show up from time to time as know how hard it is to just get a single game played on a map.

Just found this thread and I think it's a very good idea. I'll be in the same chat channel "MeleeMapTesting" on NA whenever I'm online. NA server plz come out!
