Isn't the map pool supposed to be the WCS maps by blizzard? Not sure about this one but why would they make them if they weren't to be used in the qualifiers?
|
i wish i can go back to college just to play in this.
|
Looking forward to it
Too bad there is no losers bracket, what if everyone above master league gets put on 1 side of the bracket? Then have like 2 diamond players win the top 2 from the other side
|
Usually tournaments organized on binarybeast have manual pooling. They usually check the player's stats for the recent seasons. Two strong players shouldnt be matched the first round this way.
|
When was registration ending? Why have spots been cut so much? The registration is closed with only 32 players in. How can there be 4 spots for a 32 player online tournament this is ridic :S
|
So is it really 32 players? Brackets were out over 12 hours before the tournament even started :S Why is this? It's starting 3 hours from now and I haven't been able to register. Why was it announced as a 128-players if it aint?
Why is nobody giving a shit about 4 canadian spots -.-;;

Is there a channel we can meet in?
|
Unfortunately we can't stream this live with delay like we originally intended, so we'll collect the replays and try to cast them throughout the week with the regular series of games.
If the event is taking up unnecessary space on the calendar feel free to remove it since no stream will be attached to it for the day D:

QQ. Why not?

original streamers fell through, usually I'm the backup but I have to take at least today off for mother's day.
also, meet in channel CSL

The registration process has messed up many strong players who wanted to compete including alexcmoi who i am quite certain actually sent in his information before me. Communication to these players or something would be useful rather than explaining that he cannot compete the day of the tournament.
Feel bad for someone who took off the day to compete for this wcs quals.
If maybe 1-2 people had an issue with registration, not a big deal. But many people have felt screwed by how the registration process and brackets were done. I don't want a free ride through the tournament due to confusion and hope that this can be fixed in the future so that the best players are able to rep canada.

I have been registered since a week, had my link to my csl account, but Im still unregistered, I was 3 hours before the tournament in the channel waiting, to be sure an admin can help me with that and add me into the bracket or do something. I have been talking to the only 1 admin there ' Phoenix' he keeps telling me I can't join because bracket were made yesterday... I'm like well we can add me, at least he could have replace any of the players that didnt show up with me but he didn't answered me from there. Now, I can't play the tournament with 4 seeding where there are less then 30 players in that. Such shame that a qualifier like this one, was soooo pooorly organised and that the only admin didnt care about the players unconfirmed that had registered + has csl account and canadian citizenship .So many solutions could have been taken to make them play. btw sorry for my english.

Plus, if the tournament registration was to be closed a day prior to the event, it would of been nice to receive some sort of warning.
As you know, today is Mother's Day, and some of us weren't certain if they could or not attend, hence why some players registered late. The lack of communication is certainly disheartening.
We also never knew why the map pool aren't the WCS maps?
Also, on AlexCMoi's defense, he was registered and confirmed for the WCS Canada qualifier hosted by sc2qc, therefore I do not know why he wasn't for this one. Plus, he played in the CSL playoff representing ULaval, his account was therefore valid.
