Format:

KOTH BO7 - 4 players per team

Teams will have to name their first player. The starting map will be announced one week before the games.
The ACE game will be BO3 if any.

Prize Pool :Winner receives AUD$300+ in cash

Map Rules

Loser picks map from map pool.
No repeat maps are allowed to be played.
Map pool will be announced before each rounds.

Dates:

Semi-final 1: Tuesday 27th March 2012 - 9PM AEDT
Semi-final 2: Thursday 29th March 2012 - 9PM AEDT
Final: Saturday 31st March 2012- 9PM AEDT

Teams invited:

The top 4 teams at the end of SEA Premier League will be invited to play for the Frog Cup. If a team refuses the invitation, the invitation will be offered to the 5th, etc...

Broadcasting

All the games will be broadcasted live by our team of casters : Maynarde, System and Zepph on www.twitch.tv/frogcup

Brackets:

The 4 teams will be filled into a semi-final bracket single elimination.
The placement will be randomized on stream or 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd.

Looking rad. Seeming as there's 4 teams, why not do a round robin, then a 2v3 and winner plays 1 in the grand final? Or something along those lines. Single elim when there's only 4 teams just doesn't seem that fun imo.

Let me explain the purpose of this competition.
When we made the SEA Clan League, we decided to not put play-offs in it as we made in parallel the SEA Clan Cup. Our mistake was to not ask for the teams engaged in it what they prefered.
As for now the league is already started we can't change the rules and put play-offs as it won't be fair for the current leading team.

So to resume, Frog Cup is just the name we gave to the "play-offs" stage of SEACL. It's just i can't call it SEACL play-offs as the winner of SEACL will be the leading team at the end of the league.

Furthermore, SEA Star League is starting soon so we don't want to overlap this event. That's why it's single elimination and semi-finals stage.

The frog cup will be played as the "week 10" of SEA Clan League. Next SEACL season will have definitely play-offs.
