Though the technology for streaming has existed for some time, JustinTV was among the first to realize its amazing potential in ESPORTS. Much different from the 'on the outside, looking in' environment in the past generation of ESPORTS games, streaming allows for an incredibly deep level of fan-player interaction. JustinTV provided an amazing platform for enabling these kinds of close relationships, which led to the huge of amount of interest in Starcraft II.
Furthermore, JustinTV's Partner Program opened a completely new way for gamers to pursue careers as professionals, separate from the old model that was tied down in corporate sponsorships. Streaming has brought us some of ESPORT's biggest stars at present, and opens the way for countless more to come. Liquid’s players have long since embraced the importance of streaming in the Starcraft II community and its ability to bridge fans and players. Ret and Tyler were already running ahead of the pack during their Brood War days, providing the community with excellent BW content when streaming was not at all the norm. Sheth and TLO have been fervent streamers since the early days of SC II, and by sharing the many ups and downs of their careers with their fans, they have become some of the most well-known pro-gamers.
Furthermore, Liquid players have been pioneers in charity streaming. TLO led the way with his 24 hour Starcraft Without Borders marathon, while Sheth soon followed with his own charity event. TwitchTV was eager to show their charitable spirit as well and assisted Sheth as he teamed up with Destiny in their recent charity marathon.
Our experience using TwitchTV has been extremely positive. They clearly consider gaming to be a key part of their business, and the many features and capabilities of their platform reflects this. Most importantly, their support and communication has been second to none. They been extremely helpful whenever we have had questions or requests, even working closely with Liquid's technological wizard R1CH behind the scenes to improve their product.

"Though it might be hard for fans to sympathize, there comes a point in every pro-gamer's career when not every single game feels new and exciting, and you really have to force yourself to play every game. Our lives tend to lack routine, and that makes it hard to squeeze in those 'one more games.'
