+ Show Spoiler [Main announcement and information] +
We've bugged you several times with our Beta Cups to test our new platform over at play.gosugamers.net and now we finally bring you a tournament that will make proper use of it.

This tournament will be the first season of the renewed GosuCup and will hold a prizepool of $100, winner takes it all. But the top four of this season will automatically qualify for the next season which will hold no less than $500.

How does it work?
It's very simple. We will hold six qualifiers, each at Sunday evenings at 19CET, starting this upcoming Sunday.
The qualifiers hold a cap of 32 players so check in quickly to stand a chance. The two finalists of each qualifier will qualify for the group stage and are not eligable of playing in another qualifier after qualifying already.
After those six weeks a groupstage with four groups à three players will be held, also on a Sunday at 19CET, where each player plays the other two players in his group in a best of three, where the individual games will count as the score that determine who will advance. The two players of each group with the most points advance to the next stage which will be held the week after.
This stage will consist of a single elimination bracket with the remaining eight players, starting with a best of five in the round of eight and semi finals and a best of seven in the grand finale.
The winner of the grand finale will win the $100, all semi finalists will automatically qualify for the second season which will hold a total prizepool of $500.

Who can participate?
Everyone who is not currently listed as banned on our Blacklist can partake on the joy of StarCraft and the chance of qualifying to the next stage and a shot at the prizemoney.

How to sign up?
Simply head over to play.gosugamers.net, sign in and click on "My profile" at the top right. Enter your gaming account for iCCup and after that go to the GosuCup Qualifier that is up next and sign up. Please don't forget to check in up to 45 minutes before the tournament starts!
The tournament for the first qualifier can be found here: GosuCup Season 1.

Where and when?
The tournaments will be held on iCCup's StarCraft server and we will meet in the channel GosuGamers over there.
The time is shown at every tournaments and will always be Sundays at 19CET. If you are unsure of what CET is in your timezone check the CET clock on the GosuGamers page.

How to watch?
Sayle will be streaming and casting the tournaments live over at his twitch.tv channel but the stream can also be found in our newly added stream section over at play.gosugamers.net and we will add it to the frontpage in case you get lost anyway.
If you are interested in providing an alternate stream with a cast feel free to contact a GosuCrew member of the StarCraft section.

The mappool
We will try to provide an accurate mappool each week consisting of latest KeSPA maps and a user prefered map for which we will add weekly polls on our frontpage, starting next week.

This week's mappool will consist of Alternative 1.3, Neo Beltway 2.0, Neo Aztec 2.1, New Bloody Ridge 2.1 and Circuit Breakers 1.0 and a mappack with the maps and a picture is available here.

Rules and format
Please make sure to read the rules before signing up, not knowing the proper rules is a disadvantage and can cause problems for you and your opponents and puts an extra workload on the admins.
They also contain the mappool and the format for each round.
The rules can be found at the tournament overview: GosuCup Season 1.

If anything is unclear feel free to ask in the comments below.

Qualifier 2 information

This Sunday, October 26, at 19CET the second of six qualifiers will take place. We are hosting it on iCCup in the channel GosuGamers and everyone is invited to sign up and play. But don't forget that you have to check in up to 45 minutes before the tournament starts.

As mentioned before the mappool will have a slight change each week, which will consist of one map being replaced for that particular week.
The standard mappool consists of Alternative 1.3, Neo Beltway 2.0, New Bloody Ridge 2.1, Neo Aztec 2.1 and Circuit Breakers 1.0 and this week we will replace Alternative 1.3 with either Dante's Peak SE2.0, Neo Medusa 2.2 or New Empire of the Sun 2.0 and it's in your hands which of these maps will replace Alternative.
In order to give your vote go the StarCraft section of GosuGamers.net and scroll down until you can see the poll and place your vote.
We will decide on the map on Saturday evening so any votes placed after then will not be taken into regard anymore.
A mappack is available already which includes all of those three and the original five maps. Download it here.

If you would like to rewatch, or even watch for the first time, Sayle's cast from last Sunday you can either go to his twitch.tv channel to see the whole VOD or go to his YouTube Channel which holds all of the cut VOD's named by who is in them.

In order to take a look at the bracket where you can also download the replays of the matches by clicking on the magnifying glass when hovering a game or simply want to sign up for the next qualifier go to the GosuCup Season 1 Tournament over at our tournament platform.

Please make sure to read the rules beforehand to avoid any incidents or possible rule violations.

The next tournament will also be casted live by Sayle over at his twitch.tv channel so tune in on Sunday evening at 19CET if you don't feel like playing but watching others play for your entertainment and their own, aswell as a chance at the $100 and a spot in the second season which will hold a total of $500.

Qualifier 3 information

The third out of a total of six qualifiers for the $100 GosuCup Season 1 is coming straight towards us, starting this upcoming Sunday, November 6, at 19CET.

With two weeks behind us we are looking straight to the upcoming weekend, which will hold the third of six qualifiers for the $100 GosuCup Season 1 in which you can qualify for the groupstage of 12 from where 8 players will advance to the next round. The winner of that round will earn the $100, while the top 4 will already qualify for the second season's groupstage which will hold a total of $500.

So far the US-American Zerg Michael, the Russian Terran reps)Pro7ecT, the German Zerg LRM)Bakuryu and the Hungarian LRM)TechnicS have qualified for the groupstage and this upcoming weekend it's your turn to take a shot at one of the remaining eight spots.

However, there is also the option to simply lay back and enjoy watching the others play with some live commentary of Sayle himself. You can follow him over at his twitch.tv channel where you can also watch the VOD's of the previous qualifiers, which are also available in an organized format over at his YouTube channel.

As last week there will be poll up soon in which you can pick the replacement for Neo Beltway 2.0 in this week's mappool.
You can place your vote on either of these maps: Pathfinder 1.0, New Empire of the Sun 2.0 or Icarus 1.1 and the poll can be found in the right side column if you scroll down far enough.
A mappack which contains the first five maps and all of the three votable maps can be found here.

Go and register over at play.gosugamers.net where you can also take a look at the previous brackets and download the replays of the matches by hovering your mouse over the match and clicking on the magnifying glass. Then select the replay button in the pop up.
Also don't forget to confirm your participation via the check in which will begin 45 minutes ahead of the tournament's startig time.

Please make sure to read the rules beforehand in order for a smooth tournament and no major incidents. Not knowing the rules is your own fault!

Qualifier 4 information

This is your fourth chance to qualify for the group stage of the first GosuCup Season in which you can win a total of $100 if you end up being the number one, however the top four will qualify for the second season already which will hold a total of $500.

So far we have the US-American Zerg Michael, the Russian Terran reps)Pro7ecT, the German Zerg LRM)Bakuryu, the Bulgarian LRM)TechnicS, the Polish SouthPark and the Peruvian Nb.TerrOr. determined for the groupstage but we are in need of six more brave players who are willing to go to war, in StarCraft.

If you are not willing to go to war, in StarCraft, or simply don't feel like it, there is an alternate option for you. Sit back and enjoy watching the other players fight for the top two spots of this week's qualifier by tuning into Sayle's twitch.tv channel on Sunday evening at 19CET.

As usual you can decide one of the maps in the mappool. This week we will get Neo Aztec 2.1 replaced by either The Fortress SE2.0, Outsider SE2.2 or La Mancha 1.1 and you will soon be able to vote on the GosuGamers StarCraft frontpage on which map you want to replace Aztec. The poll can be found if you manage to scroll down far enough.
The mappack will already include all of these three maps, as well as the standard mappool and can be downloaded here.

If instead of replays you prefer to watch commentated games go and head over to Sayle's YouTube channel where he uploads the VOD's seperated by games each week.

Please make sure to read the rules beforehand in order for a smooth tournament and no major incidents. Not knowing the rules is your own fault!

What's cool about this is that all top players cannot play in all tourneys any more.. So... deeper talent pool, more up-and-comers, more incentive, more variety, more viewers, more sponsorship, more tournaments, more players...

That's a train of events worth being excited about.
