In classical music, I believe the stories behind the composers are almost as important as what you're hearing from them... for this reason I recommend Mozart. Pretty much all of his work is very good, but especially anything from Requiem, The Abduction from the Seraglio, The Marriage of Figaro. Ave Verum Corpus has always been a favorite of mine also. | ||

P.S. Chopin is pronounced "show-PAN", not "KOPE-in". Almost everyone gets that wrong.  | ||

If so, then your customers probably knew better. If you go to a local Sam Goody (or whatever chain store), classical newbs usually get the name wrong, and the employees don't know any better. So... I guess it all works out in the end, either way. | ||
