Interview with LRM)Game

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with sasnb.Pez] +

Q: How satisfied are you with your second place finish in round 1?
A: I'm satisfied with the performance of sasNb, though I'm not happy that we only took 2nd place despite winning all of our CWs. I don't think the point system is too good. Winning only gives 1 point more than losing.

Q: How do you feel about being one point behind LRM going into round 2?
A: 1 point is not a big lead. It's good that there is not a big gap between teams, players have more motivation and it makes the games more exciting for spectators.

Q: What are your expectations for round two of the tournament?
A: We have a very good team which can beat any other team. I think as long as we don't run into activity problems we will come out on top of round 2.

Q: Does winners league format change the meta-game and strategy applied to the clan wars?
A: Since 4-0 gives more points, I think teams with real elite player in their roster will start with him in attempt to get 3 points for an all-kill and teams without a star player may try to snipe that first player. For example i expect that vTv will try to use Scan as their first player in every CW and AoV will try to prepare with a specific build to that map against him.

Q: Which player from any team do you expect will come out with the most all Kills?
A: I think Sziky will

Q: Considering that the league seems to have three elite teams, LRM, Gt and sasnoobs, how important is it for you to have your team finish first in order to avoid that semi-final matchup between 2nd and 3rd?
A: It would be great if we took 1st place and we'll try our best to do so, however, since we are capable of winning against any team, it's not the end of the world if we can't make it in first place.

Q: Any last shout outs and/or comments about the league?
A: This league is very good for spectators, and with prize money it motivates the players more so than other leagues, so thanks for organising this. As a player/admin the league is quite boring if nobody streams it, so please try to always stream our CWs!

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with sasnb.H00ligan] +

Q: How satisfied are you with your second place finish in round 1?
A: well we are in second place, however we have no losses, therefore, we are still the best team in the league.

Q: How do you feel about being one point behind LRM going into round 2?
A: 1 points is nothing , we will beat them again if they play in the next round.

Q: What are your expectations for round two of the tournament?
A: I think it will be hard against Gt because they have very good players, however I think we will beat them again.

Q: Does winners league format change the meta-game and strategy applied to the clan wars?
A: I think it's okay with this format

Q: Which player from any team do you expect will come out with the most all Kills?
A: I can only say for my players. Sziky and Karate are my favorites for 1st place . I hope they will entertain us with good rezults .

Q: Considering that the league seems to have three elite teams, LRM, Gt and sasnoobs, how important is it for you to have your team finish first in order to avoid that semi-final matchup between 2nd and 3rd?
A: If you have a good team, you dont care about who you have to play against , so I don't care if we are 1st, 2nd or 3rd. If we want to be the Champions, we must kill all!

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with sasNb.Karate] +

Q: How do you feel about having the highest single player score in the Gambit's Cup following round 1?
A: It feels good, although it will give people a false idea that I am actually ‘gosu’ J

Q: How satisfied are you with your current win/loss ratio?
A: Very, I’ve had a few lucky games (zvz for me is extremely tough), and my game vs mad[aov] was a fluke- I deserved to lose with my poor scouting early on. It’s a shame that my only loss is as terran, but now I realise im bad with T J

Q: How satisfied are you with your team's current placement?
A: Again, very- players like sziky, ace, terror and mazur on my team have pretty much assured a high placement on the scoreboard, but I think the score system needs a little adjusting, although it makes little difference in the grand scheme of things.

Q: What are your expectations for round two of the tournament?
A: Well, I think vtv will really nail most teams due to a couple of top players on their roster, and team Gt looks scary to me aswell, but the others should be fairly manageable for sasnb I think. I forsee many 4:0 sweeps J

Q: How do you feel you will perform in winners league format?
A: Not great- sniper players will be used to take the current winner out, and for me I think that means zvz games- I will have to practice a lot! Teams with more protoss players I think will give me a better chance of getting a juicy all-kill.

Q: Being as an entire team can be carried into first place by a single player in winners league format, how much pressure is on you to deliver for your team?
A: Not a great deal, really- sziky is the player sasnb will be relying on the most, and ace will certainly be good support if sziky somehow loses, so I feel that I am (at best) the 3rd man in line to deliver for sasnb.

Q: Which player from any team do you expect will come out with the most all Kills?
A: vTv.scan, sasnb.sziky, sasnb.ace, LRM)GoD, Gt.Bizzy, Gt Michael and vTv.Jumper are all fantastic players, and in my opinion, most likely to get all kills.

Q: If you're on a killing spree, which player from any team do you least want to face?
A: Zergs J However, I will do what I can to get good at the zvz mu before the gambit round 2.

Q: Any last shout outs and/or comments about the league?
A: Thx eywa, sayle and joekim for this awesome league and their hard work. Nb.Skye <3 forever, his LRM)Gayme masterpiece has inspired me. Also, ill try to infest many CCs kk =)

More Interviews to come.

I have to agree with pez on one thing, the point system is retarded. I don't understand how sasnb is below LRM) when sasnb has not lost a clan war yet, and LRM) lost to sasnb. It shouldn't matter then LRM) has 4-0'ed more teams, sasnb still beat them when it came to the head to head.

That makes no sense. sasnb has not come close to shutting a team out, meaning they don't have the capability to score maximum points, just like a sporting event. The patriots in their championship years would not be compared to the Dolphins. The Dolphins beat the Patriots (NFL) 3x in 3 years, but the Patriots won the Super Bowl after dominating all of their opponents every year. I could name countless sports references, but I think the entire premise of counting wins is ridiculous, especially when there is a point system in place. If sasnb was indeed the better team and deserved more points, they would have went and crushed their opponents 4-0 and played the _POINT_ system better.

It makes perfect sense, you're just so incredibly ignorant and full of yourself and LRM) that you can't see why they deserve to be above you. So what if you shut out a few teams? It's not the end of the League yet, and sasnb has won every clan war, including one vs LRM). Your sports analogy doesn't really fit either, as this is only part 1 of this league, and the championship matches haven't been played yet. Maybe LRM) will come out #1 in the end, but after the first stage, I still believe sasnb deserves to be above you guys. -__

Tbh Wins > Score, that's how sporting systems work. 10 wins gives you more than 9 wins in points even if you won those 9 games 10-0 every game and the 10 wins were 1-0. However, since the format has already been presented before hand there's not much point to dispute it. At least the games are entertaining to watch, it's high level and the next round should be just as good if not better.
I don't need luck, luck is for noobs, good luck to you though
