‘I want to face Leenock.’

- How do you feel right now?
I feel like I can play the rest of the matches without worrying because now I am in the up and down matches.

- You lost the 1st set. Were you disappointed?
I think vs.Z needs the most work out of all my matchups. I need to work on the macro aspect of that matchup.

- Did you try to end the game using hellions in the 3rd set?
Since my opponent didn’t use roaches and depended on a mixture of zerglings and banelings, I tried to end it with hellions. Even if the first push was topped, I had another one behind it so I wasn’t too worried.

- Creator, whom you said you wanted to face, got knocked out in the round of 32.
He is my practice partner from the PRIME team who helped me out greatly so I am rather disappointed that he lost. Since he is a good player, I believe he can get back in the next season.

- Who do you want as your next opponent?
Since Leenock is such a good player, facing Yoda would be much easier. But I would like to take this chance to improve myself, so I want to face Leenock in a match.

- Has DongRaeGu on your team helped you out?
He is such a good player that he has taught me a lot. Our team’s zergs are all good.

- The up and down format has changed a bit, what do you think?
I think it is harder than the last season. But I am confident.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank DongRaeGu, viOlet, Sniper, and Shine for helping me practice. A bit later Noblesse will play his match, I hope he wins. If I have to face Leenock, I want to tell him to watch out for some cheese.

Leenock
‘I enjoyed this match.’

- You are in the up and down matches again. How do you feel?
Rather than focusing on the up and down matches, I am focused on getting one step higher. Since my goal is to win this tournament (code A), I am not too worried about it.

- It was a complete victory. What was your secret?
If it is cheese, because I face Marineking and sC often, I can easily block that. And if it is mech, since GuMiho on my team is the originator, it is also very easy for me to deal with.

- It felt like you were dragging the game on Tal’darim Altar.
In the last interview, Yoda said that he would do some cheeses, so I was especially careful to not fall into any traps.

- Today’s match must have been fun for you, You were very rich (economically) most of the time.
When zergs have a lot of economy you can do anything, so it can be a lot of fun.

- Your round of 8 opponent is Dream
I am not happy about it because I am pretty friendly with him. And on the ladder, they call him the cheese god. So I think I can win as long as I can block the cheese. I don’t think you should do those kinds of cheese rushes if you aren’t Marineking.

- The up and down format has changed, your thoughts?
I don’t care about the format. But I feel like I will end up having to face Marineking again in that, so I am trying to avoid it if possible.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank GuMiho, and all the other terrans on my team for helping me practice. I also want to thank Choya for coming out although he didn’t feel too well.

Noblesse
‘Come at me Tassadar!’

- This is your first up and down entry. How do you feel?
I am happy. I have been stagnating in the round of 16 for a while so it makes me especially happy.

- Did you predict that you could make it to the round of 8?
To be honest, I was a bit worried. Since there wasn’t that much time between the matches, I didn’t get a chance to practice that much. Luckily, I was able to play a game that flowed according to my thoughts.

- Your opponent was zerg. What aspect of the game did you focus on during the match?
My opponent is a player who focuses on a macro style play so his early game defenses looked weak. So I prepared to attack that weakpoint.

- Dream on your team already secured his position in the top 8 before you today.
I wanted to congratulate him after he won. He is young, and so to have advanced this far already, seems impressive to me.

- Are you looking forward to advancing to code S?
I believe I am capable of advancing. But of course, Leenock worries me as well as my next opponent.

- Who do you want to face in the round of 8?
As Tassadar has said before in his interview, he wants to face me. I too want to face him again.

- Recently, MVP players have been playing well and the atmosphere around the team is good.
I think we are on a streak. This is the time we can gather some good results.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank DongRaeGu, Monster, and Sniper for helping me practice. I hope to do my best to continue winning.

Tassadar
‘Look forward to the match between me and Noblesse.’

- How do you feel after advancing to your first up and down match?
I am glad to have fulfilled my goal. My other goal is to beat Noblesse and advance all the way to the code A finals.

- You already called out to Noblesse in your previous finals to ‘advance.’
I have faced terrans all the way from the round of 32 so I am used to their strategies and I have a feel for them, so I believe I can do this match.

- Why do you want to face Noblesse?
Because I lost to him last time. I don’t have any other reasons. I hope to take my revenge so that I can get that out of my mind.

- Should we expect something out of that round of 8 match?
I will practice especially hard, so I hope you will look forward to that match.

- In the last set, your blink stalker control was especially good.
I usually end up making control mistakes so I thought I would have lost a lot more. But I saw that I was winning so I was surprised. Builds are important but the fundamentals are in the control.

- Blink stalkers, aren’t they cheap?
It all depends on the user. Depending on the control it can change from a good unit to a crappy one.

- Has the team’s expectations changed now?
We are having fun saying stuff like “oh ~ code A…” But overall I am feeling good. I think I can advance as long as I can avoid having to face Marineking in the up and down. I am pretty good friends with him and we both know each other’s style very well, so it will be a tough match.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Shuttle who has helped me practice ever since the round of 32 all the way to the round of 16. I get frustrated often during practice so I hope he can understand that’s how I get out my stress. Next week one of my friends Choi Ho Yeon is taking an exam, so I hope he does well.
