Day[9] and Apollo returns to DreamHack to give world class commentary of the DreamHack SAPPHIRE AMD Championship in StarCraft II. The Official Shoutcasting-Duo is ready and settled for DreamHack Summer 2011 June 18-21.
As part of the DreamHack SAPPHIRE AMD Championship sponsored by SteelSeries, EIZO, SAPPHIRE and AMD we’re proud to announce the official commentators for the DreamHack Summer 2011.
Sean ”Day[9]” Plott and Shaun ”Apollo” Clark, the popular duo from DreamHack Winter 2010, returns to be official casters in the primary StarCraft II stream produced by DreamHack in co-operation with Day[9].TV and streamed live at Justin.TV. They will do the official commentary of the best matches in the group stage as well as the Playoffs including Semi Finals and Grand Final.
Sean”Day [9]” Plott is a American player that went into shoutcasting after creating his own video show Day[9] Daily and hosted a live streamed 12-hour launch party for StarCraft II in Los Angeles. Day [9] is famous for his deep strategic analysis mixed with a personal, smart and funny approach to eSports. Day[9] is working with all the big leagues including ESL and MLG and we’re proud to welcome him back to Sweden one more time.
Shaun “Apollo” Clark is a British Zerg player with a long experience of strategy games – including a world champion title in Command&Conquer at WCG 2007. As part of Team Dignitas he mostly provides the community with private lessons and have done professional commentary for leagues like ESL, WCG and DreamHack. Apollo was selected as one of DreamHack’s main casters during 2011 and hosted the DreamHack Stockholm Invitational and will continue do that during all upcoming events this year.
All group stage and playoffs-matches will be broadcasted from a special StarCraft II-stage similar to last year. DreamHack will present details about the stage and also the featured matches that Day[9] and Apollo will commentate.
