The UC Davis Collegiate StarLeague team and UC Davis StarCraft Club, partnered with Creative Media, Justin.tv, Myko Designs, Patriot Memory and the Collegiate StarLeague teams from UC Berkeley and Sacramento State, is proud to announce the 1st Quarterly UC Davis Open Tournament.
When: Saturday, May 21st, 2011 from 12pm to 8pm
Where: UC Davis Campus, Kemper Hall [Map]
Format: This is a Bring Your Own Computer (B.Y.O.C.) event. If you plan on participating in any of the tournaments please arrange to transport yourself plus one StarCraft II capable computer, laptop or desktop, to Kemper Hall before the tournament begins.
We will be featuring four separate but simultaneous organized tournament brackets including a 1v1 Masters Division, 1v1 Lower Division, 2v2 All Inclusive Division and a 1v1 or 2v2 StarJeweled Division. It will be possible for players to compete in more than one bracket.
Prizes: Our tournament will feature, at minimum, the following prize pools for each respective bracket.
[1v1] Masters - $100 Prize Pool
[1v1] Lower Division - $50 Prize Pool
[2v2] All Divisions - $50 Prize Pool
[1v1 / 2v2] StarJeweled - Mad Street Cred
Cost: A $5 donation will grant you full access to food and drink throughout the day as well as entry into all of the tournaments!

The winner of each game set within a match will concede map choice for the following set to his or her opponent.
Sign Up: If you are interested in participating in the 1v1 tournament, simply fill out the sign up form using the following link and you'll be automatically entered into the tournament bracket based on your ladder ranking. Sign ups for the 2v2 and StarJeweled tournaments will take place on Saturday at the LAN.

Computer setup and practice games will start at 12:00pm, noon, on Saturday in Kemper Hall on campus. Arrive on time to secure a good spot. The tournaments will run until their conclusion, estimated for early evening. Free play will resume after that.

Here are some other LAN tournament basics you shouldn't forget:
- Ethernet cable, the longer the better.
- Power strip with enough outlets for your computer plus one.
- Headphones. Speakers are not allowed.
- Extension cord is a plus, circuit breaker outages are a pain.
- Routers and switches, if you have, are a plus to ensure you get connected.
- Do not bring alcohol, of any variety.
