Hey guys,
Not too long ago one of my students, Omri Pitaru, approached me about wanting to sponsor a showmatch. His request was simple:
Make it ZvP, and include Sheth.
Friday, May 13th at 7PM EST is the date. Format is best of 5, all games will be played regardless of outcome. Loser picks. Map Pool: MLG Maps. Game one will be played on Xel'Naga Caverns.
About the players:
FXO Sheth needs no introduction around these parts. He's one of the best Zerg players in North America (and maybe the world) and his popularity has been rapidly growing, thanks in no small part to his excellent play, and to his show where he analyzes his own play and takes questions from his audience.
VT Azz is, perhaps, a somewhat less renowned player... At least for now. Consistently holding his spot atop the SEA Grandmaster ladder (over players like Moonglade), Azz is one of the best players that no one knows about. He'll be looking to make a major statement in the games against Sheth, proving that he's a top level player, and that VT is still a major contender amongst top non-Korean pro teams.
I'll be streaming and casting the matches from my JTV channel: www.justin.tv/mrbittertv
Hope you guys are all as excited as I am.
See you then!

Oh awesome, I didn't even know this was coming.
Hoping Azz has been polishing up his PvZ as it's always been his best matchup, by far.
|
I love Azz, he's an entertaining fellow from back when he used to hang out on vent with me, but this is not a fair match, it's like the opposite of him vs Me, maybe even worse.
|
Been a fan of Azz for a while, hope to see him do well.
|
Didn't Azz have a BWAI project?
|
5-0 sheth. hes too gosu :[

3-2 Azz, should be some great games. Azz is actually one of the best PvZ players in my opinion and has what it takes to defeat sheth.

Hey guys,
I'm Omri. Just a few things about this that Mr.Bitter didn't mention.
First of all, I've decided to donate to this showmatch due to the fact that Mr.Bitter got into VT. It's a sort of a joining gift from me.
I've always been a huge fan of Bitter and I improved a lot while watching his stream. He contributes so much to the community and I believe he deserves something back.
Second, I want to thank everyone who agreed to be a part of this. Sheth and Azz for agreeing to play for us and Bitter for agreeing to cast and stream that matches. They are all major ballers, so props for them!
Also one last thing. Just wanted to mention that this was all possible due to Mr.Bitter. I asked him a while ago "What would be a good way to save up some money so I can take a lesson from him" and he suggested that I start coaching. Well, his suggestion worked out pretty well and the money for the showmatch came from the coaching. So I'd like to add that any money I keep making from coaching will go towards more awesome showmatches!
That's it guys. I hope you'll all enjoy the showmatch. See you there!

go go Sheth! XD
You guys realize that it's a BO5, so the best score is 3-0 and not 5-0, right? =P
