So people should be pitching in about their stances on the following issues: Day 1 lynch- Inactives or suspects, and then who? Role of PMs in this game Any questions you guys may have should also be asked, an informed town is a good town ^_^ Well for the first question, I think the answer is clear, and has already been said. We pressure inactives by moving to lynch on them. Hopefully scum slips up and gives us a lead to lynch a suspect, else we just lynch an inactive and hope. Obviously lynching someone who is acting suspicious is better than lynching a random inactive, but lynching the inactive is a good backup plan to get people posting and create a healthy town. For the second question, that's much more in-depth, and I imagine that the best way to use PMs will depend on your skill level. As a relatively new player, I'll stick to corresponding only with people I have very good reason to trust.

I was bus driver and redirected a mafia kill to you. You died to save a detective, though! LSB's advice in this game has been very similar to his posts in the pokemafia game where he was town, but he's gotten into an argument here which he carefully avoided in that game. I know he gave a reason for that already, but I think that it's not a good enough reason for this whole drawn-out argument. I'm not ready to vote for him, but it's worth noting. I don't know why annul is so focused on him. It was good to bring his spamminess to everyone's attention so he would be under the town's focus and forced to post more constructively, but it's not good to be tunnel-visioning him already. If this argument gets too much focus then everyone else will fly under the radar.

Why did you OMGUS vote annul when I'm sure you know that's a common scumtell? ... and why did you vote for him while you kept trying to make town look for inactives? Shouldn't you be trying to convince people to your case if you where certain enough to vote? In pokemafia, you said "I was very protective of my Shockeyy lynch", when someone suggested another possible mafia lynch. Now you are fine with the town splitting up attention. How would you explain this change in play style? OMGUS: The point is, lets say I do an analysis of you, and its all lies. Wouldn't you be suspicious of me? It would be selfish of me to not do anything about it. As a townie I have a responsibility to attack Annul, even though it may be a bit scummy Inactives: In case you haven't noticed, I've been dealing with the inactives using blue roles. I proposed we deal with inactives by a combination of DT checks and mass cover by everyone allowing the DTs to safely . The thing is, this plan was immediatly dismissed by people who probably didn't read the thread. All they say is "well, lets not rely on DTs". In addition, as I've said, we should lynch an inactive only when there iw no obvious mafia canditdate. Given that I found a obvious mafia candidate... I'm unsatisfied with this answer. No, if you did an analysis of me and FOSed me as mafia when I'm not, that in and of itself would not make me any more suspicious of you. In fact, active scumhunting would make you more likely to be town. As for his analysis being 'all lies', I don't see any lies in his analysis post. You may disagree with his opinions, or think his logic is weak, but that doesn't make him mafia. If you are town, you're the only one who knows that so it doesn't make sense to vote for someone just because they voted for you. What really worries me about this lynch is that besides deconduo there hasn't really been anyone trying to divert the lynch, so either LSB is town or his buddies are abandoning him.

I don't particularly FOS you, but it should be pointed out that this doesn't clear you by a long shot. Mafia knows better than anyone who is clear, and it's very easy for them to buddy a townie to appear clean when he flips. As for annul and pandain, we shouldn't lynch them just because they are wrong. But we also shouldn't let them get away too easily. Some people have suggested that they wouldn't be so bold if they were mafia. But with the godfather and the framer(s) to mess with the DTs, mafia can afford to be pretty bold this game.

I just read through the entire thread again and here are my thoughts: -Pandain doesn't seem like scum to me, just a flip-flopping townie. -Brockett narrowly avoided a lynch and still hasn't contributed anything. Much fewer posts and different posting style than his townie play in Pokemafia -I'm still suspicious of TheMango but don't have solid reasoning for it -I am pretty confident that ROL is town, but I dont necessarily agree with all his picks for mafia -Insanious doesn't seem scummy to me. People keep saying that he was 'so sure' LSB was blue, but if you actually read his posts, that's not what he was saying -I'm on the fence about annul. I always thought his tunneling on LSB was stupid, but that doesn't make him mafia. He certainly could be, though -I'm most suspicious atm of Seraph (as ROL pointed out) and Mr Wiggles. While reading, I noticed that all of Mr Wiggles posts are riddled with uncertainty, fear, and unwillingness to commit. He may be a newer player, but it still makes me very susicious of him. My vote goes on him for now

Opz George CLooney Shockkey Ryu/DArthien\ Brockett(another) Orgolove Right now I'm going to be voting Orgolove, but these people we should especially keep an eye on Why Orgolove? HE claims he's been busy during the holidays but not posting, but really, he's way TOO quiet. I mean, he's always super spammy/agressive, and even the holidays he wouldn't have been this busy. Let's see his posts: Show nested quote + On December 27 2010 16:02 orgolove wrote: Oh wow. This started fast. If why/Brocket/GeorgeClooney gets around to voting/posting, we could switch the lynch. But currently we should push to lynch the people who actually aren't in danger of being modkilled. People probably with say that I have a conflict of interest with TheMango since he voted for me. So I'm find with voting off ~OpZ~ On December 28 2010 11:41 LSB wrote: ##unvote ##vote ~OpZ~ I hardly feel that focusing on inactives, especially on Day 1, is a good idea at this point. I highly doubt mafia will be inactive on day 1, exactly to deflect the kind of suspicions you are raising. It's much more likely, probability wise, for there to be mafia among the people who already posted, compared to the inactives. hell, I know I'd be more inclined to post and make time during the holidays if I was red 0.0 I'm getting really suspicious of the people who keep trying to refocus the town on lynching inactives instead of HUNTING REDS. i.e. why, LSB, ilovejonn. I'm especially looking at LSB right now, given his past track record and his current behavioral patterns. Accuses people who try to get people to talk. Note that Orgo says we should be focusing on trying to find red's, but orgolove hasn't done ANYTHING. This is all he says. A short while after LSB died. Now, what does this post do? First of all orgolove barely did anything, and he's immediately apologizing for getting it wrong. This is a very obvious scum tell if I'm correct, and he still hasn't really contributed. He has obviously had time to read the thread, at different points during the day. There is no reason why he should not be contributing more unless he was red. I forgot to mention orgolove in my earlier post, but his posts, as few as they've been, also stirred up my suspicions. I'd like to point out in particular this line: " I'm especially looking at LSB right now, given his past track record and his current behavioral patterns." This is the sort of thing that a mafia says to seem like they analyzing but it's really just fluff. What past track record? What current behavioral patterns? Explain what you mean or it's worthless.

I guess the relevant people I'm talking to are medics, dt's and vigilantes for the night phase. I mean, crazy ideas like RoL actually being mafia sounds so preposterous it might be true but it's definitely not 100%. I'm actually going to stand up for RoL because I can't comprehend him being mafia. Maybe it's my lack of imagination. I'll suspect him if he starts using his credibility to make bad decisions like lynching no mafia for the rest of the game or bringing out more blue role claims. Well if RoL goes for me, he's mafia. I'll openly claim my role, if someone's willing to help me decide. How does someone going for you make them mafia? Barundar just added me to his suspects list, but I don't think he's mafia one little bit.
