Hey,
I am new to the TL mafia community but I have been playing this game for many, many years. I used to play a lot over IRC, and I think we could get a pretty significant IRC community started.
So, I have created #tlmafia and I ask people join and idle it. When I ran a mafia channel on efnet back in the day we'd have 4-5 games every night. It was great and epic and I want to try to do this again. So please join and even if you see nobody there, join and idle, because I imagine we can grow it and play nice, 2-3 hour games each night.

Do you guys teach me some basic instruction of how to use IRC
Here in Thailand, we don't really use IRC that much so some simple instruction (especially, for joining annul's created channel) would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

Just go to an IRC Client. Most people here use quakenet http://webchat.quakenet.org/. Make yourself any username. And in the Channel Place, type in the channel you want to join. Like #tlmafia or #teamliquid
And hit join!
There's probably more detailed guides if you want to know how to do cool stuff. But this works for me.

Only basics are enough, thank you very much. Hopefully I could find some more detailed guides, although RL is quite busy right now

How many people do we wait for a game?

I think we could definitely get this to work, but first we must get people to see this thread.
|
no ones on right now
|
if everyone who has joined, stayed, we'd have 15+ in the channel
problem is people join then leave after an hour instead of just idling and waiting for a game
people need to just keep IRC open and wait for a game

I am still waiting for my cookies. I have been there like 5 hours.

another advertisement:

You got to switch servers. You need a real irc client. I use kvirc
|
chat.efnet.org in your web browser, put in channel #wolf username whatever, for web based IRC
