Rakaka Swedens biggest E-sport site is covering the World Cyber Games 2010 in Los Angeles. The korean Protoss Kal also known as the Red Shuttle took some of his time and talked to our journalists after Day 2.
+ Show Spoiler +Kal is happy to be in Los Angels to participate in WCG.
"During WCG we've seen you hang around quite much with Jaedong and FlaSh. Are you good friends in Korea and do you play each other during your free time and between tournaments? - We actually weren't that close to each other before we came to Los Angeles, we all play in different teams and we don't really have time for anything else than practicing, matches and to be with team members. Now at WCG we have a lot of spare time though and it has given us the opportunity to spend time with each other and I hope that we can continue being friends when we come home to Korea after WCG."
Read the full interview here
If you have missed the video interviews with White-Ra and Brat_ok then check them out in this thread.
We also made an interview with the Ultimate Weapon Flash, check it here.
Hopefully our guys at WCG can get hold of Jaedong also for some talk.

Before WCG many talked about a dream final between FlaSh and Jaedong, but that isn't possible anymore. Which one of these players do you rather want to meet in an eventual final? - In a final I would rather meet Jaedong, he is the easiest opponent of the two. And as I've always had it easy against Zerg I see it as the easisest victory.
Well he is the easier of the two, but given their histories, I would have imagined he'd want to play Flash. FvKal usually leads to good games, some of which are pretty close. JD on the other hand has tossed Kal out of a lot of leagues in the past.

Did Kal really say that? Lol, he NEVER wins against Jaedong in anything of remote importance. If Kal walks away with the WCG trophy, he would gain an entirely new level of respect from me.

Too bad his military service is coming too. Hope he can perfrom after it

KAL needs to win the WCG. it would make me so happy

Weird, Flash used to always list Kal as one of the people he was good friends with outside of other teams, as they were in the same amateur team.

ahem but any toss bsides stork who wants to play jd is either lying or stupid ( i mean no offense to kals character just the sc side of his brain)

Last question, have you ever tried StarCraft II and what did you think about it? - I've only tested it twice and both times I got my ass kicked by randoms. I don't know the game and that's why I lost. I will definitely play StarCraft II in the future. When that is - I dont know. For now, StarCraft Brood War is the only thing that counts.
oh.

I was going to mention Kal > Effort as evidence that his PvZ has improved, but since Effort was planning to retire it might have just been poor play/apathy on his part.

J v Kal = 15-4 F v Kal = 8-2
Pretty much the same, and Flash is pretty hot at the moment. I'd want to play Jaedong also.

Yea very likely he wasn't trying that hard to win seeing that if he wins it would be pretty awkward to announce retirement while supposedly representing Korea in WCG.

Rooting for Kal, he deserves to win something

This is REALLY odd, Kal said in his Fomos interview after the semis that he pretty much practiced PvT exclusively in preparation for Flash, and that he hoped Flash would enter the finals.

Kal seems like a nice guy, I hope he can beat Flash in the final. Their most recent games were close, just that he choked in the late game.

Kal really is a nice guy, he took time to take pictures and do signing with all of his fans yesterday. That being said, I did see him hanging around with Jaedong and FlaSh a lot. FlaSh and him played a light hearted melee where they switched races, and later that day Kal and Jaedong passed by me, walking down the street back to the convention center as I was going to get a bite to eat.

kal for ace next season ^_^
