Hey, so there have been a lot of negative comments being made about my stream and also me personally and I just wanted to address a couple of them (notice I'm doing it in my personal blog).

First of all, please do not watch my stream for a couple of minutes, jump to conclusions about those couple of minutes that you think apply to my overall stream, and publicly announce your assumptions on the forums. If you think there is a problem you are free to PM me about anything at anytime, but I really dont see the need to tarnish my reputation publicly.

With that being said, I think if people actually tuned in regularly, a lot of these complaints (lack of constructive criticism) will be resolved.

For example, if you think I don't know a lot about a particular matchup and tune in often, you will hear me often recognize that I am not an expert and specifically say, "I'm not exactly sure but..." or... "I'm not an expert but..." And I will always correct myself if I find something I said to be invalid.

Also if you think that I have a big "ego" or am too arrogant, I beg you to continue watching my stream for a couple of minutes. I am the only caster than I know that actively communicates with my viewers on a constant basis. I communicate on facebook, any messengers, bnet, tl.net, etc. I think I am above no one, never act like it, and I'm not sure how people get the impression that I do.

Next, if you think I try to "hoard viewers"... Please actually tune into my stream... This couldn't be further away from the truth. I am aware that I am privileged to have my viewers watch my stream when they could watch any stream that they want to. I never worry about hitting numbers or "hoarding viewers". Watch my stream for more than a couple of minutes please.

Lastly, I do apologize to huk for showing his email but he wasn't really upset, so you guys shouldnt be either... relax please lol.

Now with all that being said however, I am going to be taking the actual pieces of constructive criticism into consideration! I will do my best to show more of the battles, pay more attention to the minimap, and slow down my mouse movements. I realize that not everyone is accustom to moving at such high speeds. I will also figure out how to disable all of my background sounds such as aim, skype, etc.

If anyone else has anymore CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM (not complaints), please feel free to let me know.

Thanks to everyone for watching my marathon stream last night (11 hours) and supporting me!! Hopefully you all tune in for the IEM semis and finals tonight at 8pm EST! Thanks again guys <3

I didn't really agree with alot of the criticism but wasn't the beef about you divulging information to Huk about the past 2 games in a series before the 3rd game?

yeah you actually didn't mention that...

Take it like a man. i watched your stream for the OWCs cause it was the only one that worked for me. All i remember is some childish fued over who is allowed in the game and who not.

I only watched up to the part where you divulged info to Huk. IMO you should do a no-communication policy with all players when you're casting a tournament...

Please stop making these posts.

If you really care about only taking "constructive criticisms" then just ignore the rest and take the useful advice. You're entering what is already a very saturated "market" of SC2 commentary so prepare for criticisms no matter what. If you can't accept that, I don't see how you ever can get your stream to improve in the first place.

I have a solution for you if you're tired of defending yourself:

DON'T DO IT. Why should you?

Let people think what they want, and you can have your own opinions on yourself.
You might think you're good at something, but obviously there always someone better unless you are Flash.

If you make defensive posts, things will get worse. Husky handles criticism better than anyone else. Look at his posts for a model on how to deal with it.

Basically, if you get criticism, just say stuff like "Yeah, I'm still learning the game and trying to improve my knowledge. I hope you enjoy my casting even if I don't get everything completely correct!"

There's a fine line between deflecting criticism and being defensive. You're currently over that line.

Stop crying and just keep doing what you do. Your casting is great and you cover a lot of events, your actions speak louder than your words. There's always gonna be haters no matter what, but no one wants to read an essay every time you feelings get hurt.

"I realize that not everyone is accustom to moving at such high speeds."

I actually laughed out loud when I read that, you're talking about a community who watches professional starcraft for christs sake!

And you're clearly being defensive, stop posting things like this or they're just going to get worse.

Constructive criticism:

- don't bad mouth other casters/streams on your stream (I.E. what i heard last week during the open wolf cup) ... don't gossip or talk about random crap, focus on the games and providing analysis.

- following from the last point, when you're actually casting a tournament and such, you should be professional

If you don't know a lot about matchups and are still learning the game why do you have a stream going in the first place? It's malpractice. Many of the other reputable casters have been exposed to sc1 and all that comes with it. And the viewers can differentiate who and who has not. Spend some time really being around the top amateur scene before diving into analysis and casting a deep real time strategy game. I just don't think your ready yet.

Oh and try to take it on the chin a bit more. You can't please everyone, and you know this.

Dude, just ignore the internet. Ask people to PM you if they have something useful to say, otherwise ignore it all. You spend time setting up the stream, gaming, commenting. Its a huge effort on your part. If someone that also streams criticizes you, then you can listen. Otherwise, who cares about random Internet opinions?

You better get used to it if you want to be a big featured streamer. You know how much shit comes my way on a daily basis? "Your commentators were mean to me", "Your commentators do this or that", blah blah blah. It's part of the territory so get used to it.

Personally I think giving players advice in between games is wrong but I was by no means blown away or like "oh wow that guy should die and have his babies sacrificed to the sun god" like the other thread. But I would not do that again imo.

I don't think he should try and be more professional at all. It's good to have a caster that isn't afraid to swear or insult anyone. The last thing we need is another day[9] clone who candy coats everything he says because quite frankly it's gotten quite bland.

Keep up the good work BigT, you're one of my favorites.

I dont bad mouth any casters... and I focus on the games and provide analysis as much as possible... but in between games, I like to gossip with the viewers. Please tune in for more than a couple of minutes and see for yourself what i'm really about.

And I am going to be defensive because most of the complaints are just untrue. And even they are are untrue, rumors destroy people's reputations so I want to make sure that I set the record straight. And I will be continuing to do so... People's opinions of me should not be based on all the negative complaints that people publicly post after jumping to quick conclusions based off of a couple minutes of watching my stream. They should have the freedom to not be biases before watching my stream and see for themselves.

I constantly admit that I make errors on my stream and that I clearly do not know everything. I make jokes about how little i know in fact. I am very humble, take criticism, and admit when I'm wrong. But I'm damn well going to make sure that I make sure that my reputation doesn't get tarnished because of ridiculous assumptions.

Yeah you're right, i just assumed you meant swearing and stuff, my bad. But I do like a certain amount of un professionalism. Perhaps it just adds extra entertainment to otherwise boring games.

One thing I DO HAVE TO WORK ON is giving more attention to people actually complementing me. I do have a tendency to give way more attention to people being negative rather than the ones being positive so I deeply apologize for this. Thanks a lot kriket and everyone else whose supporting me and watches, appreciates, and enjoys my stream

Maybe I'm an asshole, but I hate it when people say this is the gayest map ever, which will allow this gaylord to be at his absolute gayest. I don't think it's funny or intelligent. Whatever, thanks for streaming I guess.
