Well, the concept is simple, if you had a roster of 5 players (making one of the 5 the team captain) who would fill your roster?
Demonstration: - Name 1 - reasons - Name 2 - reasons - Name 3 - reasons - Name 4 - reasons - Name 5 (Captain) - reasons
Any nationality, the team can be mixed, the only restriction is, they need to be a current active player who is playing Starcraft 2. For instance, you cannot have Boxer or Flash, but you CAN have DeMusliM, Maka, etc.
So, who would be on your Starcraft 2 Dreamteam?

-ReconNine ( Me, because, i'm fucking awesome? :p ) - IdrA - (Do I need to explain this one) - Maka - ( Arguably the best Terran on asia, he was a practice partner (?) - TesTer - Won 3 ( maybe 2 tournaments ) - Cool - - Day[9] (Captain) - (Superior knowledge, the thought hammer has spoken) The reason why these are my choices is because they have shown how good they are (except Sangho) in the beta (winning tournaments, etc) Personally I think they are the best of the best or very very close to it.
Edit: Was I suppose to post this her? or edit my old post? :/

-Day[9] (Captain) -White-Ra -Tester -DeMuslim -Sen Those are obviously very good players. Every race (Including randome) is represented and I think it is important. I made Day[9] the captain because he has a lot of experience playing starcraft and could lead a team to victory thanks to both his strategic knowledge and his psychology.

- Good idea for a thread fams - Great Improvement on in Kennigit <3
Sen - Great play in the tourneys he was in throughout the beta to me he looked like the best zerg in the beta, debatable best player.
Tester - Also great play, especially in the TL invitational, debatable best protoss of beta or best player. Also he would be my captain because of his experience as a coach
Maka- Debatable best terran of beta
White_Ra - Great player throughout the beta with many quality finishes including the HDH win, some would say he was best player of beta.
Idra - Came down to him or Dimaga as they are both great zergs but I don’t like cheaters (Dimaga TSL)
|
Tester (P) - Best protoss in the world during the beta, so makes sense. Idra (Z)- Superb mechanics fit perfectly with his reactionary zerg style. TLO (R/T) - Excellent creativity and solid mechanics.. predicting he'll be mainly terran post release. Haypro (Z) Took games of tester and other excellent asian players If i remember right. Probably the strongest non-asian zerg together with Idra and Dimaga. Nony (P) [Captain] - arguably the best foreign Broodwar player in history. Courage finals at first try, beating Idra at his peak in a bo5, WCG national winner, winnning the last and the biggest foreign SC tournament in history - Pokerstrategy TSL. Hasn't yet fully commited himself to SC2, but has still shown brilliant play at times and come release I think it'll be foolish to NOT count him as one of the top players.
My picks are based mainly on consistancy and just pure raw skill and commitment to the game. These are all extremely devoted players so I think it'll work well.
You also have alot of extremely wise brainstormers in TLO and nony who can come up with great strats for their team they can use in clan wars etc.

Ok I'll take the bait again.
Team:
Sen (Z)- He has shown his ability to bounce back from early set backs time and time again. Watch TLO vs Sen of the Kaspersky cup on Scrap Station, it was some of the best crisis management I have ever seen. Sen has also shown how to effectively use Mutas to contain and win ZvT even against "hard counters" such as thors and marines. He's cute \(-_-)/
TLO (T/Z)- One of the few top players that can play random and win matches(if he doesn't get P :D). He seems to have decided to stick with his Z/T though. His creativity is unmatched and his willingness not to call something imbalanced really shows how good a player he is. Towards the end of the beta he was finishing in the top 3 of almost every tournament he entered.
Dimaga (Z)- At every stage of the beta you could ask people for their top 3 Zergs and without a doubt Dimaga would be on that list. He is able to not only play macro games but also come up with creative one base plays that exploit weaknesses in his opponent. I will go so far as to say the best foreign Zerg.
Tester (P) - TL Altitude Cup? GosuCoashing showmatch? While we haven't seen much of Tester, every time we do see him he just dominates so convincingly it actually gives me nightmares. If he says T is overpowered with the way he plays P I really hope he is wrong, otherwise there will be some pain... oh some hard pain.
This last spot is so tight I can't even wrap my mind around who it should be. I have taken it down to Maka vs Cool vs White-ra. Really there's nothing between these 3 players. Maka has shown just how awesome he can play T while Cool has shown his brute force and seemingly unimpressive domination of players at times. Then you get White-ra who just dominated the foreign scene when it came to results at the end. Thus this las spot goes to.... NAZGUL.
Nazgul(Captain/P) - This team needs leadership, who better than the man that founded teamliquid and has kept it going to this day. He is a top of the line player and has shown time and time again that no reaper gets past his probes. I'm not sure how active he has been towards the end of the beta but I'm sure we will see his awesomeness soon enough

Coach
![[image loading]](http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/images/thumb/b/bc/Day9.jpg/200px-Day9.jpg) - Day[9] He has a good eye for the game outside the game, would definitely be a great support to any team.
Main Team
![[image loading]](http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/images/thumb/9/99/Nony2.jpg/200px-Nony2.jpg) - NonY (P) (Captain) Having played BW at such a high level and actually spending time in Korea, he fits the Captain's seat perfectly. He knows what it takes to compete at a high level and provides a good face for the team.
![[image loading]](http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/images/thumb/5/53/Sen.png/200px-Sen.png) - Sen (Z) Arguably the Jaedong of SC2B, he showed the rest of the world how Zerg can be played at the top. Always looking for ways to be on the offensive, Sen would bring an exciting dynamic to my dream team.
![[image loading]](http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/images/thumb/c/c1/WhiteRa.png/200px-WhiteRa.png) - White-Ra (P) Grandpa Toss brings a level of experience to the table that simply cannot be matched. Deceivingly sharp for his age, this friendly old-timer still plays at a level that most teenagers stand in awe of.
![[image loading]](http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/images2/thumb/f/fb/TheLittleOne.JPG/200px-TheLittleOne.JPG) - TLO (R/T) With the ability to play multiple races on the cutting edge, TheLittleOne has an element of surprise that can take other teams off-guard. An impressive showing of ingenuity and skill throughout the Beta secures his spot on my team.
![[image loading]](http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/images2/thumb/3/3a/Maka.jpg/200px-Maka.jpg) - Maka (T) Representing the far-East Coast, Maka proved himself to be the Terran to beat. With incredible macro, he showed the brute strength of Terran across the Asian servers. A true force to be reckoned with, Maka is the best in his class.

-Sen (Captain) (most consistent player imo) -Maka (Best terran around) -Whire-Ra ( Cheese King anyone?) -TLO ( Most abstract player i have ever seen; Nukes and BCs I mean cmon) -TesTer (Won the invitational)

This statement implies he is only good because he is able to use cheese effectively consistently but really he can do just about anything. Long macro games, short aggressive games and even mix in some awesome void ray into DT builds. I don't really dig people saying this about the White-ra

Tester (P) - Very strong, and every good team needs at least one Korean. He plays standard strategies to a 'T' which provides a consistent backbone for the team to rely on. Idra (Z)- Awesome mechanics (you will see that this is the theme here) with the perfect amount of BM to really get the aggro on the other team. Should be an opener in most clanwars. TLO (T) - Creative and more awesome mechanics, reliable to take a game on almost anyone. Maka (T) - The random (not in race, in playstyle) player of the team, used to go up against the "Flashes" of the world, where you may not be able to win straight up. He always has cheese-esque strategies to throw players off balance and provide an edge, even if his mechanics do tend to slip. White-Ra (P) [Captain] Best protoss atm, in my book at least, the epitome of consistency. Only choice for captain at this stage of the game.
Anyone choosing Day9 needs to wake up, Day9 is a funny guy who knows his stuff but he is by no means anywhere near the level of the rest of these players.
Edit: If Flash starts playing he is immediately captain and Maka is removed from the team

If i thought he could only cheese I definitely would not have him placed in my top 5, its the fact he can do it so well that I put that as the reason.
btw lets try and keep to the thread topic and not get off on tangents

- Day[9] (Captain) Maybe haven't been very competetive yet but has insane amounts of starcraft wisdom and any team is super lucky to have him. Has huge amounts of potential if he starts to play competitively
- sSks - The korean bulldozer that have dominated several tournaments. His level is only matched by a few players.
- White-Ra Probably the best player in the beta, and one of the best foreigners in broodwar. Has very consistent play. Knows his weaknesses very well and have tons of experience.
- Sen Very consistent in his games and knows how to get out from sticky situations.
- TLO The new kid on the block. Has a lot of unused potential and plays very creatively. With the right coaching he can catch and surpass most of the best players around.

Coach tester - has experience as a coach sen - watchin his stream even thou he plays z i think he is really good. dimaga - playing different and owning maka - best terran i ve seen so far white ra - he s just solid
|
-Morrow: (T) He is a very strong terran player he got Hella nice Micro/Macro and he is rank 5 at gosugamers -Jinro: (T) The way Jinro can do harrassment and at the same time defend an attack is just amezing -Haypro: (Z) I really like his Macro/Micro and he really did a good job in the EU vs Asia he just blew my mind he beat Maka whic is a hella strong asian player -TLO: (T) he is a very strong player and he always find these crazy ways to do harrassment WhiteRa: (P) -Captain- he is old he got alot under his belt he knows so many diffrent build orders whic makes him the Godfather of toss

Liquid`TLO Captain Best overall player in the beta. Very creative and very entertaining to watch.
NGA.maka By far the best Terran around.
Tester Everybody knows he is the best player in SC2 during the beta. Winning major tournaments in and out Korea, he is always expected to reach finals.
Sen Best Zerg player so far. A very offensive player with his creative playstyle; deadly baneling drops.
Garimto I don't know much about him but for sure one of my favourite players.
|
TLO - I just like his attitude from what I've seen of him interviews. The kind of idea that there is a way and you just need to come up with it. Not to mention he is a superb player. But really, I just like how he thinks about SC2.
Dimaga - Although he's a jerk who didn't follow the rules of an 8 man FFA harvester only fight, he's an amazing player. Every time I see his baneling micro I want to switch to Zerg.
HuK - He's HuK Norris. Great Protoss player with a ton of potential. Seems to grow as a player each time I see him play.
QXC - In my opinion, one of the most solid Terran players out there. He never stops performing and he does a great job at it.
WhiteRa - Arguably the best player in Beta. He makes Protoss seem like a completely new race. Probably my favorite player to watch in SC2.
|
TLO Captain
- Simply one of the best players in the game atm. Play's his own style, is really clever in any situation and know's how to handle them, almost all the time.
IdrA
- Solid and sick Zerg. Nothing fancy, but really impressive playing. I dont find it boring anyhow.
Nony
- Hes almost as creative as TLO, thats why i like him. Especially with the Phoenixes, hes just a beast.
Tester
- Nothing to say here. One of the best players at this moment.
Jinro
- Beasty terran! I just like his playing style.
Backups (not explaining these)
Maka White-Ra Demuslim

The core of this team is the Eastern European triforce, Dimaga + Brat_OK + White-Ra. They each play their respective race to perfection, and from what I understand are all great friends too, which is sure to benefit if they had to play together competitively. Led by the other European powerhouse, TLO, this could be a great team.
(Z) Dimaga: Zerg macro machine, the one who Idra himself gets his stuff from. Very strong player.
(P) White-Ra: Not much needs to be said, he's incredibly good. Takes a strategy, sticks to it, makes it perfect.
(T) Brat_OK: Extremely solid mechanics and very adaptable play. Fun to watch, but also very successful.
(P) Tester: The other Power Protoss. Wins consistently, he's proven himself a highly competitive player many times over.
(T) TheLittleOne - Captain: The creativity and deep game understanding he brings to the table makes him invaluable as both a player and team captain. His skill and genuine likability would make him the cornerstone of the team.

Are you people forgeting Cool for some reason or you just went with Tester and Maka to follow everyone else? (They are really good and I could probably put them both in my team too but I find it wierd that they are in almost all teams and theres no love for Cool. He won a tournament with them both you know? WC anyone?)
So my team would be one from each race (including Random) plus Dimaga because everytime he played in a tournament this beta my admiration for his skills got bigger.
Here we go
Zerg: Cool, Dimaga - Cool won the WC and played like a machine. His style is good and he showed dominance. Dimaga for the reasons stated abova. If it wasnt for the ban his facing he could have had a bigger role and some more wins in the beta.
Terran: Maka - If you want to see mech perfection or if you just like to see T winning look no further.
Protoss: White Ra - Hard to pick this one (Tester and Nazgul were in debate too). I went with White Ra over Tester because everyone was picking Tester and I think WR has done well in the beta and played well in every important match so far. He would be the captain!
Random: TLO - Creativity, innovation, wins a lot and shows great potential. I could keep going but everyone knows TLO and knows his play his really strong.
