Yes you read right the World Cup but Starcraft 2 style. This tournament will be run just like the World Cup does. With Groups, rounds of 16, 8, semifinals, and finally of course the finals. One person can represent their country and make it through the cup and win it. Not happy with the result on this year's World Cup, you can play it through as if you were the team!! If two or more different people want to represent a country they must fight for it and the winner will be in the tournament in a whatever group assigned.
This tournament will be run by me, Zero-D. If you want to help I could use some volunteer just pm me or email me at zerfu_7@hotmail.com. Any new commentators out there that would like to commentate games are welcome as well.

Sign up by posting here what country you want to represent, basically any real country goes.
Unfortunately or fortunately this will be for GOLD players and below, I want this tournament to be for the medium to beginner players, so they can have fun as well as to get experience and raise their skill level throughout the tournament. Same goes for those the would like to try their shot at commentating.
If a player has lost twice or any other circumstance where the player will not advance no matter what, he or she will be given a choice to play the last game or step out of it.
So show your country's colors and represent and win the WORLD CUP!!!

-Need to play 35 games minimum in 1v1 ladder
-US Server ONLY
-Any Race is fine, you can change throughout the tournament, just need to be contacted about change
-Pausing, Disconnect will be a loss
-The winner is responsible to send replay and saying who won.
-NO STREAMING ANY MATCHES
-Best of 1 until finals
-Best of 5 Finals
-Any suspicious activity will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification. This up to the judges discretion.
-Max of 8 people on one team for prelims, USA is maxed
-Only judges will be able to spectate games upon request
-No bugs or exploits will be tolerated
-Any questions or problems pm or email me or any judges that are listed

**NEED MORE TEAMS if there are several people on your team please consider representing a secondary country that you would like that way we fill all 32 slots.**
**Final day to register is July 2nd, after this all registration will be final and you cannot change what country you will represent and if you lose on prelims you cannot choose another country.
**Prelims will start a week after Beta opens again, only prelims and group matches will be played if time is sufficient depending on the time available of the beta. Round games will be done when retail version is out.
**After this tournament is done. Starcraft 2 World Cup 2010 Professional Edition will be launched where platinum and diamond league players will be the requirements.
