http://frontpagemag.com/2010/05/05/among-criminal-muslims/

Basically this psychologist does a LOT of research on muslim and danish criminals and how their psychologies differ. It ends up being a long article on why most muslims can't integrate into a western society and what happen eventually because of that. I wonder why information like this wasn't maid available quicker to main stream media, this seems like a pretty important puzzle piece of muslim society.

I am curious: have studies been done on the effect of harsh or lenient immigration policies? Say, if conservatives\nationalists\whoever were able to force all immigrants to learn English and be tied to a specific area\job, would that inhibit integration or help it?

My guess is help it. Its ridiculous that people are able to immigrate without knowing the native language.

Many Muslims from the middle east are simply incapable of living in society - let alone a western society. You can't expect they'd softly transition from forcing their wife to wear the burka to being a fully accepted member of a society which (at least tries) to treat men and women equally.

It's like integrating tribes to society, it doesn't work too well because they don't have the same morals and the same guidelines as most of us do.

On the other hand, there are plenty of Muslims (generally the less religious ones) who are perfectly capable of living in modern society - perhaps the most educated ones.

My cousin is dating this girl from Syria (she's hot as hell). I met her family and naturally her mother is a "housewife" or whatever, but her father is an engineer and so is she. They've integrated pretty well, if you ask me.

Wow, this was a fantastic article. One quote I want to pull from this is
"Since the integration of Muslims will never happen – a fact I think that has already been proven years ago – we will end up with a significant part of our population that are actively working to Islamize our societies."

This article is amazing in that the guy advocates a full0scale economic war in order to drive the muslims out of Europe. It feels like he says what a lot of us were already thinking, but never said because it would seem too cruel or provacative. But I think this guy knows what hes talking about in regards to Muslims in Europe. I'm going to take a class on this specific topic next semester, the future of muslims in Europe, should talk about this stuff and maybe more.

For anyone who enjoyed reading this or thought the guy's ideas had any value, I recommend looking up the book "The Clash of civilizations". This book basically devides the world into 6-7 civilizations, Korea/China, Japan, West, East, Muslim, and African. The author goes on to say that mankind is in a constant sturggle against the other civilizations, and that eventually there will be another world war, or somehting on that scale, against the Muslims. Remember, this was written BEFORE 9/11, it was still clear in the 90's that America and Europe would have to face the Muslims at some point, which is pretty much what is happening right now in the Mid-east. The only question is how much longer till Iran gets into the mix of things, as if Iran falls there will be no more large-scale safe havens for al-qaida or anything anti-american in the world.

Yeah man. Those Iranians are spending a whole 2.2% of their GDP on defense spending. Haven't invaded a neighbor in like 300 years. They are even part of the non-aligned movement that pledges non-interventionism. They're so damn dangerous.

Edit: I can no longer sleep safely at night. We should start a militia. We can't trust Obonga to protect us.

I don't think this is a great article at all. As far as I can tell, the only real difference in psychology the interviewee can offer is the Islamic criminals adherence to an "honor" system where one must avoid showing weakness at all costs. His point about anger is only a subset of this, in my opinion. I don't think this has very much to do with Islam, and is certainly not unique to it. I think one would find this same attitude in the ghettos of any American city, or probably any city anywhere, regardless of the cultures that inhabit it.

So actually, socioeconomic factors are probably pretty important.

Obviously the waves of Muslim immigration into Europe have caused a lot of problems, but I don't think this guy has any special insight into it

@HCastorp The main problem is not muslim immigration, the trouble begins with western policy and intervention in the middle east.

i'm living in germany and i know how muslims behave and i do think i have an idea of why they behave like that. i can tell you that i get along really well with any kind of muslim, no matter how criminal he would be towards you... i can tell you that it's your suspiciousness and prejudice that makes them aggressive. it's just some kind of mirror for you.. nature showing you something about yourself. but you guys rather choose to fight it. what a pity...

lately i was looking through some harmless german youtube videos with turkish content... oh boy did the comments make me feel sick...

ps: i didnt read the article. if it points out any other reason for their aggression than what i said, i probably won't like it too much anyway. i heard he proposes some kind of economic war... oh god.. please...

@VegeTerran

You mean that those policies have caused the Muslims to emigrate? I know the policies have been bad for the countries in question, but I was not aware that that is what caused the emigration away from the Middle East. In fact I think this has more to do with the economic state of the countries emigrated from compared to the economic state of those emigrated to. Are you saying this is casued by policies of the western countries? I am dubious but open to hearing what you have to say.

In the US this is not nearly as big of an issue, generally Muslim communities here seem to be more integrated than in Europe, also, they are much smaller.

I realize that my earlier post was worded in such a way that it may have seemed that I was in general sympathetic with the feelings about Muslim immigration expressed in the linked article. I am not. When I said that the immigration has caused a lot of problems, I didn't mean to say that this is largely the fault of the immigrants. But at the same time it seems ridiculous to say that there is no problem.

i like how djzapz is warned whereas vegetarrans retarded knee-jerk opinion is let go because it's less grating from a pc standpoint. this entire issue is exacerbated by the acceptability of exactly that type of reaction, whereas pretty innocuous attempts to relay the concerns of normal people are considered extreme. ignoring the problem will make it go away amirite

I was hoping this thread could spark some decent conversation despite the strong intolerance in the linked article, but it seems people can't discuss it without calling muslims barbaric and incapable of living within a society-- which isn't just deeply insulting, its also absurd. Closing thread.
