Situation: MSL finals just finished. I am browsing to the live report thread to see what other people think of this. I stumple upon way too many shitty posts from people < 500 post count. I don't want to read their uneducated opinion. Most of them are probably sc2 nerds.
Proposed solution: Make it possible for the browser (eg: me) to not see posts from users with a post count lower than X, where X is adjustable by the browser. The low-post-count-posts could for example be faded out.
I know there are shitty high count posters (CM) and there are probably good low post counters. But there is only one CM and the low post counters will get high anyway, later on.

Not going to happen. Post count is no indication of posting quality. Also live report threads are just terrible and always have been, just accept that.

unfortunately i cant read this thread, i can only see posts from users with >2000 posts

Can I have a feature that fades out any poster who has made more than 500 posts in the last week? Now that would surely filter out spam

shitty posts ARE what make LR threads so ridiculously awesome. its just a clusterfuck of the first thing that pops into peoples minds.

A slashdot like system where people can vote really bad comments down, might work. So you'd be able to fade out posts that are just really, really bad, but keep the threshold high enough that it won't be too easy to abuse it.
Edit: http://slashdot.org/faq/com-mod.shtml#cm600 is an explanation of the slashdot moderation system.
In summary, you'd have a rather large number of "moderators" where each moderator can influence the reputation of posts. When a post has a bad reputation, it's not shown by default. So people that post crap would see their posts disappear.

It would be dominated by whichever clan has a larger following.

I can only read what Haji and FA post.
Come on, LRs have always been like that, it's a way of maintaining the crazy-hype atmosphere. What I dislike in those threads is whenever an uneducated analysis is made on the spot of the current game, it's usually bullshit, and that's why I tend do ignore longer posts.

Where is the option to fade out all the people who are zealots/goons/zerglings

At the same time, the power is comparatively limited, so a large number of people can be appointed.

yeah even though shitty spam is annoying it's like the one place where it seems to fit and not really detract from quality
i mean if im reading through the lr of a game id rather see 'OMG REVA REVA REVAAAAAA' than
oh, well, bisu did indeed execute that reaver drop rather well

Postcount isn't related to broodwarskill or esportsknowledge.
