"Beast" BeSt (SKT1) contributed a win to his team's victory using his strong PvT skills.
BeSt won the 2nd match of SPL R2 W3 SKT1 vs WeMade game over Major on Matchpoint and recorded his 6th win of the season.
Q&A with BeSt:
- Thoughts on winning
▲ Recently, PvT has been going very smoothly for me. I was happy on the entry list that I'd be facing a terran. I didn't know what to expect because my opponent was a rookie but still the game was good.
- Your vT senses look strong
▲ In terms of the game as a whole, it's been better for me as of lately. It's fun to just play. It's fun when I lose but it's more fun to win. Not sure how my stats are compared to the past, but for sure, it's been more fun.
- Your vT strength has been gaining some attention
▲ I don't think there's any protoss player who thinks he's bad at PvT. It's not that I'm particularly better than others at PvT, it's just the game results. I think Stork and Bisu are better than me at PvT. JangBi is good too. I just have good results, that's all.
- Your opponent's reaction to the gas rush wasn't too bad
▲ He responded very well, but it was all part of my grand scenario. I didn't encounter any problems and the game went as I prepared.
- One attack solidified the victory
▲ I knew I'd win the battle with a much larger army, but the battle went even better than I expected. I had a good economic advantage with the many expansions. Even if it came down to one-for-one kind of situations (comment: throwing units at each other is what it means) I would have won so I decided to attack.
- The recent loss to KHAN must have been very disappointing.
▲ I lost such a one-sided match against Stork. I was mad at myself for that, but loss is a loss. PvP is a matchup I still need a lot of work on, and the loss against Stork made me realize just that and so I gained a valuable lesson there. I know that KHAN beat our team but I still think SKT1 protoss are the best protoss. I personally think Bisu is the #1 protoss right now.
- Last words
▲ Christmas is coming! Too bad I won't have any games on Christmas day (laughs). I will be practicing on that day, and I wish everyone a merry christmas and a lot of high quality televised matches.

"Revolutionist" Bisu grasped the victory for his team by demolishing the WeMade zerg line.
Bisu won the 4th and 5th matches of the SPL R2 W3 game over Shine (on Outsider SE) and RorO (on Fighting Spirit), recording his 10th and 11th wins of the season and saving his team from the recent losing streak.
Q&A with Bisu:
- Thoughts on winning 2 games in 1 day
▲ Winning twice on the same day feels good, but it's more important that the losing streak is over. Team momentum hasn't been great lately and there were bad moments today also, but I feel like I was able to win today because of my teammates' support. It feels good.
- You have achieved 100 wins in SPL
▲ Just 1 year ago, 100 wins seemed so far away. Back then it wasn't even on the sheets, and there weren't particularly many names with proleague titles (comment: I'm not sure on the blurb because I'm not too award of SPL statistics). Sea was a great player when I was in MBC Game back then. He used to win 10 more wins than me per season so it's surprising that I reached the 100 win plateau before him. It's also cool that I'm the 4th player to achieve this.
- You won two PvZ's
▲ I wasn't very confident in the 4th set. I lost a lot of vZ's during practice so my confidence wasn't very high. For some reason, my opponent didn't seem so confident either and gave himself some disadvantages in early game. As for the ace match, I have great confidence in 1gate play. I didn't practice the build so much but I have it in my mind.
- Your match against Shine gained quite a spotlight
▲ I think it's because I lost to Shine in OSL and got eliminated. Perhaps people were curious whether I'd have my revenge, and how it would play out. All that matters is that I won the match today.
- Stork has been on a tear lately
▲ Indeed so. I have nothing to say against him. I'm not in any individual leagues now so regrettably I can't show people my plays, but I can focus on SPL so in a way it's all good. After getting eliminated from both individual leagues I was able to focus on my SPL matches and it's good to win games for the team. Still, I must qualify and play through at least one individual league next time.
- Any regrets concerning the recent loss to KHAN
▲ Stork played so good. He understood the map perfectly, while I lacked practice and did not have the same level of understanding. It was rather a one-sided loss so I even questioned my skill level. The only way is to practice more.
- You will face Reach in the game versus ACE
▲ I'm ready for it. ACE is a good team but I'll make sure that we win the game.
- You've recorded your 11th win but Flash is in the lead with 15 wins.
▲ Being in the lead for the most SPL wins is a good thing individually (for the award also) but if it's for the team, perhaps not so much. In the long run, the team needs many players to play good and contribute. If the team needs me, I will go forth and win, but I don't have much thoughts on winning the 'most wins in SPL' title.
- Last words
▲ It's been very cold lately. Dress warmly everyone and watch out for cold! Also, our team's zerg line hasn't been performing well lately, but I hope our zerg can win his match in the game versus ACE. I was hoping that we'd win all-around today but only protoss's won. I wish that our team will win with any race.
