All right, we the geeks of gaming and poker which are all about chances, let's tackle this problem my friend is struggling with:
In a survey of 964 subjects, 24 said yes and 940 said no.
A.) Find the point estimate of the proportion of population that said yes: 0.0024
B.) Find the standard error of the estimate: 0.0050
C.) Find the margin of error for a 90% confidence interval: ??????????
D.) Construct 90% confidence interval for the population proportion Lower limit: ??? Upper limit: ???
I'm pretty sure that if I could figure out C, that I'd be able to get D on my own... so can anyone help me with C, please???

You're friend lol. What is this post:
1) Call us geeks. 2) Paste in a hw probem. 3) Show no evidence of any attempt to do the confusing parts on your own.
This isn't gonna fly dude. Putting aside the nature of this post, I suggest you don't post your friend's homework problems on forums that only you frequent. Help him yourself and if you can't get him to seek out the help himself.
I also am not up on the statistics lingo so I don't know how to find what it is asking for :p
But from the sound of it the math behind this must be incredibly easy once you understand what it is asking. Read: lecture notes, textbook, etc

tell your friend to make an account and post it himself

TL is not your personal homework tutor. If you want to discuss work that you have already done, that is fine, but simply posting your homework is not acceptable. Please look at the closed section for two other examples of this today.
