As people probably know (in admiration or disdain), I choose maps of the week for iCCup and usually there are positive reviews and occasionally people are pissed, so while I think I am doing an OK job for being thrown into choosing it I have been trying to get some constructive, organised feedback. Attempts at this, like telling people to PM me suggestions, have failed.
I thought I would reach out to my friendly neighbourhood TL.net and direct you to a blog I will be doing to accompany the motw each week (unless people think it's pointless or ineffective, which may be the case). In it I will go over the featured (recommended) VOD but if you scroll down I say something a bit about the maps - most people here will already know the stuff and I did it just to let people know why I like the map choice and also as an answer when people ask me what the deal with motw is.
Aside from this, I want it to be a place where people can leave suggestions and feedback about ideas for motw changes (instead of sending them to YelloAnt who then has to go back to me and then me back to him, this way I can filter out good ideas and then ask him to implement any). I should be fleshing it out in other weeks where the game report takes up less space or I have time to spend on it so I might go into more detail into map selection and how they are chosen so people can give better feedback or ideas.
First blog is here:

Of course, not just using this as advertising space - if you think this idea sucks or can think of a better way to get community more involved in motw - or even ideas to put in the blog to help new people learn more about the maps or motw you can post it here for sure.
Cheers.
