Brand went up against Jax because of how TSM anticipated Millenium would allocate their lanes but they got it wrong. Then Brand was able to keep Jax underfarmed while Udyr kinda just turtled the majority of Annie's burst. By the time Udyr really had to go up against Jax, the outcome was already pretty clear. Most of the lane switches had something to do with Ashe, iirc.

When does an EU team ever do that? I almost think that Reginald was either trolling or trying not to give away too much of their strat. It seems obvious that they didn't send udyr top becuse Mill was trying to counterpick Udyr with Jax. Then TSM sent Brand top to counter that. I know that Reginald said that they got confused on how Mill was going to allocate their lanes, but that makes no sense. The EU teams send ranged carry plus support bottom so often that I can't imagine that TSM would have gotten thrown off by that.

It's probably not that they expected AD carry mid, but that they expected Jax/Soraka bot lane (which would probably crush Ashe/Janna), and Cait soloing as a result.

The reason he stated is that Moma and Linak (who was the jungler back then and now the AP mid) couldn't stand playing with each other.

This may sound like a childish reason to a lot of people, but I can attest that even at low levels of play it can become unbearable to play with someone that you don't get along with. I used to play a lot of duo queue ranked with a guy I used to go to university with, and we got along great in real life and frequently continued to hang out after we graduated. However, we both could not fucking stand each other during the games, and eventually had to stop playing LoL together since it was starting to turn from annoyance to anger. I can only imagine how bad it would be when thousands of dollars are on the line - we used to play for a few ladder points.....
