You want to know what amount of force you're allowed to use to defend yourself under what circumstances, as well as what you can use to defend yourself with. When you get mugged, there are a few possible outcomes. You can either (A) give the mugger your money, or (A) not give the mugger your money, and defend yourself using force. In either situation, you have the ability to (a) succeed or (b) fail. In situation "Aa," you give the mugger your money, and you go home in one piece. In situation "Ab," you give the mugger your money, and you go home in a box. In situation "Ba," you defend yourself, you go home in one piece, but the mugger goes home in a box. In situation "Bb," you still go home in a box. In three out of the four possible outcomes, someone dies. In two out of the four outcomes, you die. So, what would I do? I don't know.  It depends.I'd recommend that you do some research into all applicable laws, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to do some research into concealed weapon carry. In my state, it's legal to carry a concealed weapon (some require proper licensing, others don't). | ||

You know those guys you see in bus/train stations who "just got out of jail, just need a couple bucks"....yeah we'll about 6 months i was taking the bus from montreal to toronto and this asshole started pestering this girl in front of me in the line up waiting for the bus, and all of a sudden he grabs her purse and starts to run...i've done alot of close quarter combat training and shit with military/school and out of reflex i fucking palm struck the mother fucker right in the jaw as he tried to jump past me...his mouth had been open...6lbs of force in the jaw and you can knock someone out...he was down for the count (and i feel like carlodajin with all these ...s). I was gonna ask her for sex as payment but then her boyfriend showed up >.< with food for her (he has been at the fucking snack stand)...last time i help women pfff [/hero story] I always carry around at the very least a knife/nail/something i can use as a weapon "just incase" | ||
