First they tried to sell us some weed, when we declined they pulled up small bat and "kindly" asked us to give them our money. I gave them my cigarettes, said "here you go, dra åt helvete" (fuck off in swedish) then kept on walking.. No biggie. My friends got away without giving them anything aswell. | ||

Right now, muggers are more or less gone (and bandits are either dead or integrated into the government machine), and the thing you have to be aware of are pickpocketers. Here comes the first russian rule: Whenever someone smiles at you, check your wallet. However, I've had an incident recently with a subway robber (a guy who grasps a woman's purse and runs out of the train like mad right before the doors close), he was doing his job but the girl he robbed was fast enough to run out of the train before it departed. I stood in his way and just acted as an obsactle. He didn't expect resistance, apparently, so, even though he was like 1,5x larger than me, he just stood there with hands loose while I was taking the purse back. He realized how stupid he was about 10 seconds later, broke free and ran away. These fuckers don't expect resistance, physical prowess hardly matters. That's unless we're talking about crazy marijuana niggers in Harlem, the best thing you can do in that case is indeed comply and hope for the best. | ||
