I've been out of the loop with this game for a little while, so unless anything has changed in the meantime, the only benefit to getting those items on Yi is to stay alive for a long time. You really wont (as gtrsrs said) be able to deal any worthwhile damage until you have atmas and even then, in the meantime you have no cc whatsoever. | ||

NOTE: You can still sign up. There are more than 10 spots. 10 was the minimum to have two actual teams. OK guys, with the demise of Gozey, I'm going to (try to?) run a TL inhouse. Unlike Gozey, I'm going to try to mix things up a bit to keep things fun, since TL has a pretty diverse skill range. Sign up by November 12th, tournament on November 14th, Signups are individual. I will cut off at multiples of five. If I get 27 signups, the last two people to sign up will be PM me to sign up. Teams will be auto-generated based on ELO to keep things even. Series will be three games. Game 1: Teams will draft from the week's free champions (10 free champs means no bans). You are drafting for the OTHER TEAM. In other words, you want to pick the worst, weakest, most unbalanced composition possible. Standard 1-2-2-2-2-1 pick order. Game 2: Teams will take turns banning from the free champions, 1-2-1-1, with the team that lost game 1 going second (and getting 3 bans). This will leave 5 free champions remaining. Both teams will consist of these champions (mirror match). Game 3: ARAM! I'd like to use more than the free champs, but not everyone has everything, and keeping lists of who you can legally ban/force the other team to use based on who has what is too much of a hassle. | ||

I'd say both are worth investing your time in since both are games that reward skill (LoL more so than DotA, simply because you need less effort/skill to succeed in LoL than in DotA). As a newbie totally new to LoL/DotA/HoN, however, I'd recommend playing LoL. DotA just isn't as newbie-friendly. | ||

CDR is really good on poppy. your Q gets down to 2.4 sec and E 4.8 sec. considering E is a 1.5sec stun, you are usually guaranteed 2 Q's when you land E. when another E comes up (whether you can stun them with it or not) it will guarantee you melee range for a 3rd Q. 9/0/21 + flat CDR runes + DFG = 29.89%. blue elixir gets you to max CDR or if you can pick up golem obviously save some money there (you don't need the AP). you dont need any offensive items outside of lich bane, dfg and maybe blue elixir in order to kill their carry/support. you will blow up anyone who isn't taking MR just make sure to land your stun on whoever you want to kill. the only exception is if your team is at an advantage in a 4v4, then it's ok if you just chase someone away without actually damaging them much. ghost, W, R (R has huge range), DFG Q E ignite (banana grin as they go from full health to 20% in an instant), move in the direction you expect them to move when stun breaks, Q again, E Q. but most people will die from the 2nd Q and then you can go help your teammates or run away. your ghost should still be up. keep hitting W whenever it's off CD. and you can E on a minion or a champion without a disable in the direction you want to run, or stun the champion with the disable and run | ||
