So not only did this 'b' player not know that gate on nexus does this, he didn't bother to kill the gate and just kept trying to all in and getting owned. Also the next game I offered re and I thought it was ZvP again but he switched to T and I did a shitty build and got owned by lag. I tapped out and he started talking hella shit, said no re, noob map, etc. then logged off.

yea there is no way you can not notice that, it takes 2minutes for a ling to kill a nexus.
top of nexus is 9, bottom of gate is 7 = 16
ling is 16x16 , zealot is 23x19, probe is 23x23

it's 3 minutes into the game on a 64x64 map, once the ling is in position you have 2 minutes to stop it. So since he wasn't even aware of the tactic he'd have to make a geyser, make a core, and make the goon. It would be faster to make a forge and a canon. Also, he can just kill his own gate. Also if he knew he just wouldn't place his gate there.

That's not what I meant, Btw you can do it with nearly all the toss bldgs. Robo, Support bay, and Pylon, forge are 20, so zeal can fit since its 23x19. Gate, Core, Adun, Archives, Fleet Beacon are all 16 but too narrow to do it because a well positioned probe can range it.
Also a stargate below a nexus is 16 ; as is a forge, core, adun, archives. Everything except the stargate is too narrow and probe can hit I assume. I'll doubecheck right now.
