On thursday the first bo5 semi-final took place, with Bisu taking on rA in a rare bo5 pvp. For the devouts of Aiur, this was a bitter-sweet treat, seeing some great pvp action but knowing only would could move on to the finals.
You have two ways to play tonight:
A) I have uploaded the games as normal to Google Video, which you can watch here or download and watch at your leisure, or
B) Red_dragon has written a set of reports that is underneath each VOD.
Please make sure to leave him some feedback so that he can improve his writing for the next time
Red_Dragon intro...
We have two protoss players fighting for the finals. One is our beloved, and well proven Nal_rA, and second one is Bisu, a young promising player from MBC team. Which will win? Experience over Youth? The dreamer over Bruce Lee?
Overall rA and Bisu have met two times. Bisu took the game from rA in proleague, and rA revenged himself in this MSL. Now lets take a look at pvp stats for both players: (Please note, the stats are for MBC starleague only).
Bisu vs protoss 0-1 0%
Ra vs protoss 17-4 81%
It was very obvious who the favorite is

Nal_rA vs Bisu @ Blitz
Both players, rA @11, and Bisu @ 1 started with a one gate, gas into core build. With his scouting probe Bisu managed to manner pylon Ra, and his zealot was on the way to the enemy base. Bisu did try to harass rA`s probes with the zealot and one probe, but he did not manage to kill even a single probe. Ra cleared threat and destroyed manner pylon with his dragoon. At this point Bisu warped citadel of adun, followed by a second gate and quick templar archives. His game plan was clear. Ra still had one gate as he warped nexus at his natural. Ra then warped a robo facility and second gate as Bisu's templar archives was almost done, signaling trouble for rA.
Dt`s were on the way, and rA had just started his observatory. With only 3 dragoons, it was clear that he would take big damage. Bisu sent one dt in rA`s main and the second attacked the natural expo. Ra took big probe damage, and what was more important all the probes mining gas were cut off. Ra had to pull off all the probes from natural, and he had no income from that fast expo some time. As Bisu kept rA busy with the dt harass, he expanded himself. Ra finally did managed to clear off the dark templars, as he almost lost expo.
Bisu was now at 4 gateways pumping dragoons / zeals, and he build a robo facility + observatory. Bisu quickly built a shuttle, and dropped 2 dts in rA`s main. Once again rA took big damage, and he had to transfer all the probes from main to expo. At this point, rA was at big disadvantage because Bisu took one more expo, and his macro from 8 gates was about to kick in. Ra tried to expand himself but it was denied by Bisu. Bisu decided to attack rA with big zeal/goon army, and he even dropped ht`s in rA`s main and he killed almost all the probes. Ra did managed to defend vs first big wave, but reinforcements killed his natural expo, and entered his main. Ra GG`s.
Nal_rA < Bisu 0-1
What to say about this game. I think the main reason why rA lost this game was his poor scouting. He lost so many probes because of that. Despite the fact that rA was taking so much probe damage CONSTANTLY, he did managed to pull off some awesome macro. If he only dealt better with those drops. Anyways, Bisu did managed to pull ahead to a good start, and he showed sweet multitasking. He kept on the pressure from beginning to the end. Ra never left his main to attack, he didn`t even try to damage Bisu`s eco.

Nal_rA vs Bisu @ RT
Once again, standard 1gate, gas fallowed by core builds (rA warped @ 12, while Bisu was at 8). Just like in the first game with scouting probe Bisu built one manner pylon, traping some probes. However he cancelled it when it was almost done. Bisu added a second gateway, but rA went straight to his robo facility. Ra had 3 goons and one zeal defending the entrance on higher ground below his natural. Bisu attacked with three gons, but he couldn`t do anything. A quick look in Bisu`s base discovered third gate being added, and a robo facility with observatory. Ra expaned after his second gate. Bisu started to produce 3 gate goons. Ra had around 5 goons and zeal defending his warping expo while Bisu had around 7 goons and zeal. Both players added a support bay, signing reaver usage.
As Ra`s expo finished, Bisu moved out with 10 goons, and rA was not that behind at all. He positioned himself below rA`s upper ground entrance, reinforcing and waiting for reaver that was coming in the shuttle. Once reaver came, Bisu went in for the kill. Just before Bisu attacked, rA`s very own reaver popped up, and it looked like rA would be able to defend, and get away with the fast expo.
Then something happened that no one would expect from rA, he made BIG micro mistake, and it cost him the game. Bisu started to push with big army, and rA tried to focus fire on reaver. Sadly, he miss clicked on one of Bisu dragoons. The reaver shot three deadly scarabs before it was destroyed in the middle of rA`s goons, wasting most of them with help of dragoons. Ra fought for his life with one reaver, probes and shield battery, but the end was inevitable. RA gg`s
Nal_rA < Bisu 0-2
I have nothing much to say about this game, one mistake led Ra to defeat. Once again nice bo execution from Bisu.
Game Three: Desert Fox

Nal_rA vs Bisu @ Desert Fox
We all know both players opened with the same basic build ( gate, gas, core) Ra was @ 11, and Bisu was @ 3. The players built a zealot to kill the temple and neutral buildings blocking the expo. With no scouting possible for either player yet, Ra proved once again that he is a dreamer. While Bisu warped robo facility after core, rA choose stargate. Both players expanded. Making corsairs, ra went for +1 air weapons upgrade from core. Bisu had a support bay ready, and he even hid his shuttle so rA could not find it. But as he was to pick up reaver to drop it in ra`s main, ra killed shuttle before it reached the reaver. Ra showed to us his plan entirely, as he made fleet beacon and second stargate.
Ra`s start seemed to be working, as he sniped Bisus shuttles across the map, preventing him to to any kind of damage to him. While pumping goons Bisu smartly switched to dt`s, and that payed off. He was able to drop dt`s in rA`s main by creating diversion with an empty shuttle. Ra sent all of his corsairs to kill fake drop attempt. Bisu unloaded his dt`s, and despite having a forge, rA had no cannons for detection.
Long story short, rA did have few carriers, so he tried to damage Bisu. However there wasn`t much he could do while he was losing main to dt`s. Bisu had a lot of dragoons and he even made da`s. With no detection, and as he wasn`t able to do any real damage to Bisu rA GG`s.
Nal_rA < Bisu 0-3
I have to say I am a Nal_rA fan. But man rA played this series so bad, his micro was not on the level. The start in third game could have worked, it he had any detection in main. I am very disappointed.
Yes, Bisu did win 3-0 vs the best pvp nowadays, but I do not think he is more skilled than rA. I am not impressed by Bisu`s macro at all. Ra lost because of stupid mistakes. I do not want to in any discredit Bisu. He played ok, nice builds and nice reaction to what rA was doing. Given the years the guy could be big potential.
