Eventually the gimmick wears off and your skill shines through, and if you suck..well you suck. If your good people will come back, at the end of the day people want to see skill not some gimmick. whats more impressive, a pro hockey player whos 15 or a pro hockey player whos 24? and for the female debate, its almost always the males dominating, and considering the male:female ratio in games are so stacked thats also interesting why are you so mad about people marketing themselves? i wouldnt watch some random person whos just another masters, but a 13 year old masters, or a female masters make it much more interesting

You don't see any pro's putting their age in their title of their streaming thread. Well, that's because he's obviously gonna get more viewers if he's young and mentions his age, for instance look at najzmajs, he's like diamond and almost got 100 viewers consistently. WHY? Not because he's good but because he's 12. Personally I don't understand why people make such a big deal out of it. If you're young and play a lot it's not really that hard to get into masters. Just because ur 12-13 years old doesn't mean you're completely incompetent and stupid and can't learn and improve, truth is they actually have an easier time to learn and improve than someone who's like 37+.

I just hope people won't watch him for his age alone. That's exactly why he doesn't only say that... Everyone says that...

If you compare a 13 year old masters player say vs a 24 year old masters player, the 24 year old because he has responsibilities and doesn't nearly have the same time as the 13 year old.

There are a lot of teams who recruit players that are very, very young if they have the talent so there is justification mentioning it. I wouldn't share your personal information however. If you get good and do well in tournaments. Don't worry. The teams will find you. Surprised this thread didn't get locked. Anyway GL.

Actually if the 24 year old is a pro... Then the thing he is pro in is the only thing he should be doing or focusing on...

If the only thing that sets him apart from other mid-high master players who stream is his age, then why not make a big deal about it? It's the only way he'll get viewers so of course he will mention it. I mean, the streaming market is so over-saturated and competitive, you need to stand out any way you can.

just think of the hilarity if someone beat down on a great entrepreneur with a comment like "when i was 16 i had a great idea, but i didnt tell anyone about it and didnt make any money.. why do you tell everyone about your idea and try to make money from it? i hate you" he doesnt have to be illusion. he doesnt have to be YOU when you were 13. he can be a kid with a stream, and what does he have that other master league-players doesnt have? his age! if he had one arm, he would put that down to get some viewers.. if he was a foreigner trying to make it in korea, maybe he would emphasis that point? dont blame him for not making the same mistakes you did..

You dont see those young pros in korea saying that about there stream right? Because they dont care about age its about being the best.

Master league isn't anything special, not even close to "pro" level. Hockey is a very physically demanding sport, of course you can't play pro when you're not developed yet, physically. Any kid can learn to click quickly and you don't have to be a genius to play sc2. If he was a chess master at age 13, I'd be impressed. But this.. Anyway, it's still uncommon so I guess that's why people like it. Good luck.
