~$475 in components (CPU, motherboard, CPU cooler). One or two of the more expensive components are made by Intel though, so maybe you can get some free/discounted through the EG sponsor ship (not jesting, though perhaps this is not possible). & some tinkering involving installing said components in your case & figuring out an overclock (overclocking really helps get the extra oomph that will reduce the slowdowns you get in SC2 when streaming) That said, you're doing ok if you're getting ~40 fps in fights while streaming with an i5-2400. SC2 really demands CPU power when lots of units get on the screen/in the game, and streaming takes lots of CPU power as well. Hence the problem. Could be worse. | ||
