Hey All,

I'm going to start streaming my play for the first time ever. A little background about myself and play:

I'm 23 years old and I play Terran at a high Diamond level (rank 1). I've been trying pretty hard to get into masters and hopefully will be successful in Season 3. I thought for a little bit about why someone would ever watch my stream over the dozens of others that will be going on at the same time and I came up with a few reasons.

1. My stream will be high quality and will cater to those who like "late" hours. I typically play after 12AM on EST for a few hours.

2. I watch a lot of streams myself and feel I know exactly what stream watchers are looking for. They want insightful in game commentary with sound explanation. Not just, this guy is going to 4 gate me, but this guy is going to four gate me because he has 1 gas and is chronoing his warp gate (this is just a small example, I know that this situation does not guarantee a four gate). Actual insight into the decision making process. This is how we learn from watching streams. Lastly, after each game I will go to the chat and address, in depth, any questions that people have.

3. I do stand up comedy as a hobby so you can expect sarcastic and witty comments about my or my opponent's play during the game that will be good for a laugh.

I also do lessons for $20/hr. I realize there are better players than I but I don't believe that precludes me from giving helpful advice.

Enjoy,
Dschneid/Smash/Dave

"How do I get a stream thread?
Post a good thread in SC2 General about your stream. Include enough content so that the thread could stand on its own without being attached to your stream. Include things such as what you will be streaming, your rank/race, VODs of particularly interesting parts of your stream, a schedule if you are planning on streaming regularly, etc.

All,

I am now (7:10 est) going to be streaming for a few hours. There will probably not be any commentary as my GF has a friend over. I will play music instead (ratatat pandora).

I think I will try to theme my streaming sometimes. Tonight I will be showing a very powerful all in that takes place around 9 mins and can be used against all races. It is sustainable at the masters level and was adapted from MentallyAFK (another streamer).

Enjoy!

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think you are going to get a lot, if any, offers on $20/hour coaching; there's some master terrans out there offering $10/hour - just saying.

gl on your path to masters!

Users can't post their stream threads in there, it has to get moved. gj looking like an idiot.

Thanks,

I will move the coaching down to $10/hr, a small sum for an hour of someone's time. I realize I am not the best player but I do consider myself a very solid teacher so I will leave it up - it's not about the money, but the enjoyment of sharing the game.

I like the way this guy casts. Not bombarded by music. He commentates his play as it's happening with explanation for his actions. Will definitely watch this guy again.

I really liked my lesson. Helped me spot a lot of basic flaws in my Terran play, which I sort of knew about but it really helped to have someone who understands Terran a lot better than I do give insight on to how much those things were hurting me. Also gave me some of the most solid advice on some of my basic worries with terran that I've gotten. Thanks a lot, I'll definitely want a lesson again soon so I can show you how much I've improved and improve more!

I was coached by dschneid and you can see the VOD here: http://www.twitch.tv/dschneid2010/b/293090912 @ 1:30.

I'm a zerg player, but I wanted help with my ZvT matchup where I feel like I lose a lot of games I should have won. He helped me look through some of my games and explain the dynamics of the matchup as well as terran vulnerabilities and zerg strengths in the matchup. It's helped me a lot in my games so far and helping me to know what I am able to do and what to be careful about and has helped my winrate against Terrans significantly.
How does it feel knowing you wasted another 3 seconds of your life reading this again?

Just had my first lesson! It was incredibly informative and opened my eyes to how I should be thinking in-game.

Smash was very thorough and articulate and has an incredible grasp of the game. We looked at replays of my previous matches and he walked me through my decision making throughout. He then showed me how different decision making could have benefited me immensely in my play.

He is very friendly and explains things very well and I intend to take several more lessons from him.

Just to clarify i am a Plat level 1v1 and I benefited immensely from this training. Diamond players will also be able to learn a lot from him. I'm Diamond 4v4 if that helps at all. The point is, I think he can still effectively train players that are much better than myself. He really knows what hes doing.
Im polymerized tree sap and your an inorganic adhesive so whatever verbal assault you launch my way will bounce off of me, travel along their original trajectory, and stick to you
