mmmm well just as a basic rule, you don't promote everything you're involved with in every way possible. you arrange what kind of promotion you're gonna do. the more you do, the more money it's worth. the less you do, the less they have to pay you. so my stride deal doesn't involve promotion on my stream. but for team sponsors, we do say things like "your logo could be on our stream, this is how many hours we stream, how many viewers we get, etc" and that goes into the value of being a liquid sponsor. so teams tend to have major sponsors and minor sponsors. different tiers of sponsorship have different obligations. EG is a pretty good example of a team with a variety of sponsors. their major ones are probably giving a ton of money to EG, and so they get represented/promoted in a million different ways, while their minor ones probably just gave them some free stuff or something, and they get a tiny logo put here and there.
afaik stride has been very happy with my representation and promotion of their brand! =]

good to know, i rarely ever chew gum but when i do its stride :D purely because of that sponsorship
also thank you for the full explanation, the whole sponsorship thing makes quite a bit more sense now, equivalent exchange ftw
