You are just stuck in the past with you "kingdoms" and "expectations" . And you failure to acknowledge our success shows that you are still stuck there... all our players play at a high level all around europe.. Sorry, I'll stick to my version of a few whale hunters beating England during their summer vacations, it's way more entertaining.

Belgian commentator during the game, around the 50 minute mark. He was so pleased with himself when Vardy got subbed in at 59:30 xD

I checked the list and tbh, that's rather impressive for such a small country.

![]() Absolutely fantastic result though lol. Even though I always cheer for England, Iceland is basically Norway's younger brother who refused to change - and I'm loving their success. And England was as disappointing as ever. Rooney in particular was a complete disaster, Kane had a pretty terrible second half as well, and Hodgson deserves plenty of blame for not subbing on Rashford earlier. Guy was instantly dangerous when he came on - 15 minutes more and he might have gotten something done.

It's no big deal. And I'm pretty certain that the remaining 85% of the population are not going to work tomorrow anyway. 99% of Icelandic tvs were watching the game vs Austria, prolly even slightly more during this game. Really looked like the entirety of Reykavik was gathered in their large public tv area from what I saw. :D

They're speaking about bringing in championship and division 1 players so they would care and give it all.

At least we know how successful Icelandic football system. I just hope our "Football Director of Turkey" looks to your success and fixes something ![]() Good luck against France. Stubbornly sticks to his favourite players like Wilshere. Ignores in form players like Drinkwater Carroll noble. Plays poor form players like sterling. Stupid substitutions. And its not like this is the first time it has happened.
