So is it possible to watch the Korean Stream?

While the Korean stream will be only be broadcast to Korean IPs, and all other users will need to join us on the official TSL stream here at Team Liquid, we hope that getting together to watch the same tournament will help our two communities come closer together as we follow this game together in the months to come.

OP.

Although, it is possible to circumvent it.

Great job by GOM, looks great on their part with this support in Korea and for the promotion of the foreign scene in Korea.

Just like GOM charges Tastosis for commentating their tournament? Don't be such an asshole.

This is awesome, but wouldn't the games be streamed at an awful time in Korea? IMO, it'd be better if they just streamed from replays a bit later in Korean.

NO! It is the Korean's turn to wake up at odd times in the morning and to lose sleep just to be able to watch foreign tournaments... ^^

Although the time is very bad for Koreans it's not much different from what Americans go through for the GSL. When discussing this subject all they had to say was "It's what you guys so for us, right? Maybe it's our turn."

I don't pretend to know the agreement between TL and GOM, of course, but this is stupid. Tastosis work for GOM, and the English GSL stream is provided by GOM. GOM do not work for TL, and the Korean TSL stream is not provided by TL. There's no reason to expect the arrangements to be similar.

Edit: At any rate, this is cool, and of course it doesn't matter to us what deal TL and GOM have made.

None the less I hope there's some VoDs for the Koreans to view for I'd love nothing more then to have them to have good exposure to the international scene. With the way Korea was in SC1 being superior to foreigners most might think the same with SC2 and may not bother viewing the TSL except for their Korean superstars, let alone many of our international players are most likely unknown to everyone in Korea.

That's my thought anyway.

I am pretty surprised how understated all the comments of this thread have been.

I mean... the TSL is being broadcast by a company to Korea... thats frickin epic. This is massive. Blargh. TL continues to be ridiculous day after day. First class reporting, great forums, great events, and first class events.

Next step TL:attack on Korean TV :D

Great stuff gomtv.

I've been buying season tickets and haven't been disappointed, good to see the company taking steps to ensure the development of the game overall, not just in korea.

the korean stream didn't have any IP limiting when I connected to it earlier... (lagged like a mofo, however)
