Definitely not overhyped. It is extremely helpful for players trying to understand the game to see someone doing the right things against weaker players. Watching progamers is obviously preferable but seeing someone like Idra just stomp on people can really teach people a lot.

This Sunday we arent getting a TSL game, so why not fill the void between that and liquibition with a mass rep pack releasing

He also mentioned that that rep pack doesn't include any TSL matches, just hes previous ones. So yes a repack just the same, but not the ones this thread is for..

Wrong, this thread is for rep packs of the players' ladder runs. They won't include the actual TSL matches.

JF didn't have to play the ladder (since he was seeded). As such, instead of ladder games he's just giving us recent games he's played to get in shape / etc.
Note that the games he took out are those from the actual TSL, not the ladder. As JF said, he's not allowed to release those (we have to watch the VODs if we want to see them).

all two thousand reps...? that's gonna be a lot of work for whoever wants to do it. It'd be awesome though, because just last night I tried watching his reppack and 9 out of 15 reps that I hosted all ended in less than 2 mins.
