You could put me up in a new section about Tobacco if you like. I have a fair knowledge of cigars, tobacco pipes, and snus. Anything to do with cigarrettes I am not to useful with, but I could recommend some damn good tobacco present ideas if people feel the need or want to try something new.

I already e-mailed the maker of the thread, but I'll post some things here for y'all.

I have an MA in applied linguistics and I'm working on my Ph.D. in psycholinguistics. My specialty is how to teach/learn a foreign/second language. I am a fluent bilingual in Japanese/English (please don't ask me to translate long texts and entire episodes of your favorite anime) and can help anybody who happens to have questions, but I have a feeling that if everybody messages me with their homework on this subject that it will be overwhelming. I know Japanese is a very popular subject to study in American universities. Also, I only really hold a tacit knowledge of the Japanese language so I can't explain rules very easily.

I can help with the following topics:

Linguistics: semantics, pragmatics, syntax, morphology, sociolinguistics, language contact, applied linguistics (not so much forensic linguistics

), psycholinguistics.

Language: Japanese (all), language learning, language teaching.

Education: general theory

-> Many years as radio moderator, editor for an eZine. Many reviews, previews, and a lot of background knowledge!

Photography - DSLR
-> special (in combination with the first): Lots of concerts and partys have been photographed by me (see my website). ATM using an Nikon D90

Dancing - Ballroom
2-3 years competition ballroom dance (amateur) and many different courses (tango argentino, salsa, "discofox", ...)

Computer - Programming
-> I'm working as an PLC (AWL, KOP, FUP) programmer. Most of the time interaction with special machines, robots, etc.
