I think until than a simple "thread" with all the known details can be made. Of course you could make a thread, but the wiki is a much better system for collaborating and structuring information. Even if the amount of information is sparse. A wiki will allow for a much easier time when it comes to adding in new information too, since anyone can add it to any article, unlike on a forum where access to edit posts are limited to the creator of the post and TL moderators.

However at the moment Leaguepedia is doing a very good job at covering the LoL esports scene so we don't feel that we'd actually contribute much with making a Liquipedia one. But like I said, if there's enough people who want to do it, we'd obviously help to facilitate that.

I thought liquipedia was more about competitive gaming than anything else, and from what I heard of HotS it seams pretty much lacking as a competitive game, its more of a casual play with friends for fun type of game. Plus there are tons of competitive games not covered by liquipedia and so it pretty much smells like they are just puting it there becouse Blizzard made it. Might as well make a WoW wiki while your at it. As for HearthStone its seams like the people that have access to it are enjoying it quite a lot and the game is competitive by nature (just like the game that inspired it, Magic the Gathering). I play MtG for some 18 years already, and would love to try out HS, and could possibily contribute to the wiki, but I have no idea when I gonna get a key, if ever. Maybe I will only get to play it once its released for the general public. Another factor to consider is to what degree other wikis are already up and going. If Heroes does indeed turn out to be a game that Liquipedia would have wanted to cover, but there was another wiki out there that already filled that role, it's very, very hard to catch up to a well-established wiki like that. Imagine if LP were to start a LoL wiki now, and the amount of work that needed to be put into it in order to even try to compete with leaguepedia... Even now, in Closed Beta, there are other wikis out there for Hearthstone that cover the game mechanics of Hearthstone pretty comprehensively. However, if Liquipedia manages to surpass those wikis and become the wiki for Hearthstone, I truly believe that it will be more awesome than those other wikis, because all those other wikis don't follow the game as an eSport the same way LP does. And the same goes for Heroes; there's a window of opportunity and that window isn't going to stay open forever. I think it's worse to miss that window and come to regret it than wasting hours on a project that ultimately turns out to cater only to casuals. And even then, it may be a really good wiki for casuals that draw a lot of people to TL and LP. Needless to say, I think giving a Heroes wiki a shot is the right move.

But Heroes of the Storm - with the dearth of information out there, this seems like premature fanboyism for Blizzard. Agreed, especially when they have stated that the focus of the Heroes development will not be geared toward competitive play.
