Few things bring people better together than a pint of beer over their favorite game. That's why we thought it was so cool, maybe even a bit surreal, when Meltdown, the first gamer bar in Paris was announced. Meltdown immediately got our attention. It was one of those daring ideas that we all want as a community, but few people are brave enough to actually turn into a reality. But they pulled it off, and after the announcement of the second gamer bar in Berlin, it's clear Meltdown are here to stay and will only get bigger from now.
As TL's store guy, I thought selling our merchandise at live locations was a distant dream. But by cooperating with Meltdown, we've been able to make it a reality far ahead of schedule. Like Meltdown, the TL store wants to make ESPORTS something more than just watching games at home. We want to make it a normal part of life just like traditional sports, whether that means getting together with friends to watch a match at a bar, or wearing a shirt that represents your favorite team.
We started discussing a partnership with Meltdown as early as last summer. Due to the well known delays to the EU store, the partnership got pushed back by more than 6 months. But Meltdown's staff and in particular Foxy, have shown understanding for our struggles and never backed away from us. Working with Meltdown is a joy, which makes me even more confident in our partnership. I'm delighted we are finally able to present the TL merchandise to ours and Meltdown's fans in Paris and Berlin.
The items available for sale are the best selling TL Hoodie, the 3S shirts line, the classic Winged Pony Shirt and well as the 3S and Classic Posters. We hope we can offer even more items in the future. So this weekend, when you drop by for a beer, just ask the lovely Meltdown staff for you favorite TL item !
I will never forget the thread we started on TL to announce the opening of the first Meltdown bar. The community's reaction was amazing, and gave us the strength to continue and expand our projects. It is an honor to partner with TL today, and give our customers the chance to buy their favorite merchandising items directly at the bar.

A lot of us are working in esports because we enjoy to work on things we like, and in line with that this partnership is a no-brainer. We get live stores in Berlin and Paris, and in return get to promote esports bars and share some of the revenue. This partnership came down to a very simple question. How awesome is it to sell our merchandise in esports bars located in some of the biggest and most beautiful cities in the world?
It's been a long time since I could go there regularly, can't wait 2 months before I'm closer to Paris and will be able to go back there again at least once a week !
This just makes the Meltdown even more badass ! Cheers !
really cool, but my question is : If I order a TL hoodie on the website, will it ship from the US or from Paris since I live in france ? It'd be cool if it's from paris :D
I only went once to the meltdown with a friend and my experience was not that great. It was mlg weekend and stephano was playing but they were not broadcasting it... Even if I had a bad experience once it's still a great announcement !
I got a suggestion: Wouldn't it be even cooler if Meltdown Paris, for example, could print a little logo on the shirt as well so everyone could see that it was purchased in Paris the same would work with Berlin and maybe other upcoming cities. I'm thinking of the Hard Rock T-Shirts which also have their individual city names. This would make the shirts even more "special". Anyway great announcement.
soooo cool :D If i ever go to Berlin or Paris for some time, this is a must! I could bring my non-esports friends, and they would be like... wtf is this :D???
Hey hey hey, I'm on one of the photos! Look at the one where people raise their hands, I am the guy wearing a white shirt and glasses in the background, whose face is almost completely covered by the hand of some other guy also wearing a white shirt x(
No offense, but this is the worst written headline I've ever scene!
"Teamliquid Meltdown..." Wait? What happened? Why is Teamliquid melting down? It must be pretty bad if their own staff is writing about it!
"Teamliquid Meltdown... Partnership?" Wait? Are they saying Teamliquid and melting down are now one, and it's a poetic way of saying they're screwed? That would be stupid... maybe Meltdown isn't capitalized because it's a headline, but because it's a Proper Noun... Let's read on...
"TL-Meltdown Bars Partnership?" Wait?! I though Teamliquid.net was partnered with Meltdown, and now it's barring partnership? Why is Partnership being barred?!
Oh... so it has something to do with an actual bar.
We, Frenchmen, are the best e-sport public (^_^), and we benefit from the best conditions to show that with the Iron Squid and Meltdown. We just need to have WCS European finals at Paris, and all we'll be perfect for us

Amazing! So good for all parties involved. Can't wait to go there the next time I'm in either Berlin or Paris. Or maybe someone should start one in Amsterdam, would be even better!
It would be nice to use the partnership to not only sell TL stuff but to also bring EU TL players to sign the merchandise whenever there is a tournament nearby or smth. That would be amazing.

I would have thought the ESPORTS shirts were the most popular. I fucking love those shirts. I didnt hear about the berlin one yet, which is also cool. Toronto next plz ><
wow i'm kinda glad about this. This seems so amazing but when I first saw the thread I thought it was about a meltdown of the Team liquid and EG partnership in the Pro league
If one of these were to open up by me I'm pretty sure I would become an alcoholic... And a master's level player. Due to exposure of so much starcraft 2, but also for the free drink.
TL, there's a gamer's bar in Manchester as well that's been open longer than Meltdown called Kyoto Lounge. Go have a looksie. It's a real gamers bar too, complete with screens everywhere, a fully stocked bar, comfy seats and fucking PCs to play games on between games.
Can I honestly just say I really love high res photos of TL stuff? The 5 items in the front page image are pretty much must-haves and are part of my weekly clothes rotation
Meltdown Paris does a really great job, the only criticism I have about the place is that it's pretty tiny so it's very hot when it's filled. The price of fame :p
Looks like I'll have to visit them to take this awesome hoodie I want for a while.

I'm always speechless in front of these terrible jokes xD
