As you may have noticed, we've made a few changes to the TL frontpage. Below the news boxes you can now find shortcuts to easily filter the frontpage content to the games of your choice, with one click to enable or disable frontpage coverage of a particular game. In addition, game-specific icons now appear on the news images to let you know what they're about.
We've also removed the rarely used Recent Results section and replaced it with a Featured Video, allowing a quick way to get to the latest video content that we want to highlight. Links to Liquipedia have been added to make up for the loss of the Recent Results section.
Remember, if you want to control what kind of forums, streams and calendar events are visible, you can use the Customize Sidebar link located beneath each sidebar to control your preferences. No TL account is required to use this feature.

I actually really liked the recent results section ... any way it could be revamped and re added.
I think a ticker with results across the top would be cool or a box with rotating results for last 24-48hrs that you could click on if you wanted more detailed results from liquipedia. (not complaining ... just suggestions)

oh, this wasn't immediately apparent, but the buttons are toggleable, so you can have say dota2 and bw, but not sc2 on the fp (I thought it would toggle for a single game the way the navbar does). Regardless, nice additions R1CH!

I think the problem with the recent results box was that it wasn't consistent in being updated. Maybe you could have a link to the recent results page on liquipedia to replace it.

I like it. One little bug though:
The large photo in the center has the logo behind the photo-credit.
Right now, "photo: silverfire" is written in front of the SC2-Logo. I don't know if the credit is part of the image or added later on, but you might consider changing text position for credit to the top right.
EDIT: On second glance, it's the other way round. Logo in front of text.

I was thinking of posting this in website feedback, but since you made this thread...
Is it possible to have the coverage preferences applied to the "Liquid Team News" section?
I don't have anything against Liquid investing in a Dota team or something like that, I think it's great for Liquid actually, but I just don't care about the game.
So, every time I see something like "Liquid vs X" posted on the news I immediately think "Oh, cool!" and click the link, but then it's Dota...

Hey Rich,
I'm on WXP Firefox latest (didn't try on other thing). I think that the "double icon" on the front of this thread is bugging to bottom of the news bottom. It looks funny and i think that it's shrinking the text of the last news.
Didn't try to inspectorDom it but i think it's just about the \r or whatever is behind the double icon.

Definitely like it. Hope you'll keep the videos section updated. I'm assuming it'll be mostly TL Attack/TSL or something similar. I feel the TeamLiquid Legacy VODs should pop up there every once in a while, just sayin :>

Am I missing something? I've had other games disables for ages already, and the recent results link is still there on the right side for me. Everything still looks the same to me.

I always used the recent results it was the easiest way to get to the LP of the tournament and see the bracket and didnt involve searching for the tournament in events...but still some nice features, the filters were already there if you used settings, but i guess it's easier now

Nice update. The icons look cool, the Wraith (?) was a bit confusing since I opened TL at work and there was a BW symbol. But since SC2 and Dota 2 are easy to identify there wasn´t much left ^^.
The transparent symbols look really cool, perhaps a bit small.
Edit: Did I mention they look cool?...

What about Power Rank? It hasn't been updated in ages since Kespa teams moved to SC2.

I think that featured video is unnecessary. TL attacks happens not that often, new sign ups for TL are even more rare (obviously). I may be wrong, but if that video will be updated only a few times a year, then it's useless. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait a bit and if it will be like I think, then it's easily removable with browser's plugins anyway.
Icons looks nice, but if I'm interested only in SC2 content and hide Dota2 and BW, then there's no icons. It makes sense, but it doesn't make it look better ( I think it looks better with icons ).

I don't care too much either way about the video or results, but I must say I'd like the old icons back. These seem way too small and detailed to easily identify.

Any chance we will be able to filter TLPro the same way? I dislike having to sort through DOTA stuff when all I care about is the SC2 stuff ^^;;

I miss the Recent results. If many people do, maybe you could think about getting it back in?
(edit: And I think it could get updatet a little bit quicker or be autoupdated via liquipedia)

Not a fan of the link to the recent results instead of a little box there. I looked at it daily (when it was actually updated daily instead of monthly) and it was very convenient.

Just a minor thought. Would it be better design-wise to place the SCII, BW and Dota icons somewhere else? Or maybe make them bigger? Or change their colors, maybe. I feel like I have to look for them wherever they're placed rather than have that at-a-glance info absorption.

The Liquipedia link is a great idea. I like the changes. The icons for the games are kind of small but I guess that's good in a way that they aren't too intrusive. Go R1CH!

Icons next to community headlines are great, but when you filter out everything but one (such as SC2), the side is filled with the same icon and it doesn't look very good.
Maybe add an option to hide the icon when you only have one game selected ?

It was even worse without icons before ( after update, but without icons ), at least in my opinion. Mostly because of alignment I suppose. Icons fixed that a lil, although there's still some not good looking things. Like letters that got cut a bit.
