It is with great pleasure that we announce the first ever Adelaide Barcraft!
Where: The Metropolitan Hotel, 46 Grote St Adelaide. We will be in the back room through the beer garden.
When: We are hosting events for both the GSL Semi's and the GF!
Semi-finals are May 10, 6.40PM until ~ 10.10PM
Grand Final is May 19, 5.40PM until ~ 9.00PM
Beer: Full Coopers range, Carlton Draught and McLaren Vale Ale. We are currently in negotiations with the venue as to some sort of "Happy Hour" or "Drink Specials". Hopefully we can make this happen for our first event! We will release details when finalized.
Details:
For your viewing pleasure we have a projector screen, projecting onto the white wall as shown in the video and the sound system will provide audio both for the inside room and the beer garden.
We will be making the beer garden smoke friendly which will still be in sight of the projector footage.
Under 18's will be allowed entry. Legally you need to be accompanied by a guardian but the bar is happy for me to be the responsible adult to look after you. As a result you don't need to bring your parent's with you however any bullshit and you're out.
Food is available from midday til 830, see the hotel's website for menu and prices!

Yep - the kitchen is open til 830pm. The metropolitan's website has the menu if you want to take a squizz (linked in OP). The food is pretty good too

Getting seriously excited now... RSVPs continue to trickle in from Reddit, TL and SC2Sea.
Numbers so far are looking good - 21 confirmed for the 10th, up to 65 maximum if everyone brings all the friends they mentioned. 27 Confirmed for the GF, up to a whopping 90 maximum!

The pub has a free membership club card/thing which will get you beer specials. I am definitely signing up because the Metro is highly likely to be the permanent home of Adelaide Barcraft
Specific barcraft drinks specials are still an unknown for the 10th, we are in discussion with the bar manager (apparently the senior manager guys we have been talking to need to talk to the bar manager to discuss it... i dont know)
Sucks that naniwa lost, and that its 3P 1T. I am seriously rooting hard for an MVP v Parting finals... Thats the best outcome I reckon.

one other thing, is 6:40pm when the GOM broadcast starts? first game starting 7ish or something?

640pm is GOM broadcast start. There is usually a little music/hype/commentary before the actual first game, so yeah 7ish is probably right for the first game. However, if you wait til 7 you potentially miss out on pints with friendly Adelaide Barcraft nerds...
So get there earlier! Also, if you join the Hotel's reward program Metro Mates (it's free) there is a members happy hour from 430-630!!! Brad and I will be there setting up from about 5pm

Sneak, since i'd rather not quite look like a idiot when i get there (I probably will regardless :D ) where in the Metro is the broadcast area so i know where to go? Or am i missing a REALLY obvious detail somewhere? xD

Hehehe Synizta apart form missing the answer to your Q in the op, you wont look silly - tomorrow night we'll be surrounded by like-minded people anjoying a few brews and some SC2 action! We have about 26 confirmed RSVPs for tomorrow night, and most of them have said they will try to bring friends.
And you will find Brad and I in the back room through the courtyard beer garden.

Was a great night! everything fell into place:
-Internet connection, 'the vehicle of esports', was well behaved
-Turnout as expected
-Starcraft 1 Terran music was played in a public bar
-No PvP grand final
-Someone bought me a beer (a feather in your cap, good sir)
Thanks for everyone's continued support. I had a blast mingling with all the groups, and met some really cool people. Everyone was very friendly - thats the Barcraft way. Chuffed.
