Had an absolute blast today, brought a couple friends and we all agreed that this is a badass event and will definitely be returning! Unfortunately I had my work schedule mixed up and can't make it out this Tuesday to play, but we'll be back next Tuesday to run some games with everyone. Has anyone tried the SC2 themed drinks besides the creep? We're assuming that the stim pack is something Midori/apple pucker based and/or a redbull bomb shot, but I didn't see what else they had.

Right now the drinks we have, Mothership, Vespene Gas, Stim Pack, and Creep, are derived from the recipes we found on http://www.thedrunkenmoogle.com/tagged/starcraft drink. They aren't the exact recipes, because those call for some fairly exotic liqueurs, but they should be pretty close to what we're using.

Note that the Stim pack may end up changing... just because, imo, it doesn't really have anywhere near the kick you'd expect from a drink called the stim pack :D

Not sure If any of ya'll have heard but, Totalbiscuit just recently moved to Concord NC. We should try and get him to come down for a weekend tournament or regular tuesday night. I already tweeted at him about this thread, not sure if he'll see it though.

Let's see about trying to get him to come visit for our MLG Spring Arena 2 BarCraft on Sunday May 20th at 2pm. That one would end with enough time for him to drive back to Concord. I'll tweet him from the SCTuesdays twitter but it'd be even better if Everyone tweeted him about it. He'd prolly pay more attention that way.

Ah! Sorry if we ended up pestering you, it was more trying to break through the racket of 83,000 followers - something I still have no idea how 'public figures' handle. Glad that you are aware of our existence though, and hope to see you at one of our
Barcrafting events in the Triangle area soon :D The SCTuesdays thing also happens every Tuesday, so should you find yourself in Raleigh one Tuesday evening you know where to find the SCII gamers!

Also, so not to double-post, updated the OP with information about the upcoming SCTuesdays tournament. Everyone should check it out, especially the rather fine flyer Joe put together.

So, it just dawned on me last night - holy crap, BarCraft is next weekend! Updating the main post and spreading the word now. Biggest news is that next weekend, we're going to BarCraft the GSL Finals vods right after the SCTuesdays tournament on Saturday... given how much I love the GSL, I'm really looking forward to this. Also, I've updated the tournament times, as we'll be starting at 7PM Tuesday, and 6PM Saturday - that way we'll have a little more time to get all the games played. Be sure to sign up if you haven't already done so!

Send an email to sctuesdays@gmail.com with your Name, Character Name/Code, Current League and Rank to secure your spot.

As far as the registration fee goes, just bring it with you and hand it over to Joe on Tuesday (or Trevor, I'm not sure which one is handling the moneys).

OMG the tournament is TOMORROW! Please don't forget your $8 lol. Of course there are ATMs so that shouldn't be an issue. If you are competing though, you NEED to bring your OWN computer if at all possible. Turnout was pretty damned good for the tournament - while not quite our goal of 24, we did have 13 competitors enter, and enough people and PCs to force using both rooms that Blinco's has. Also, thanks to the internet upgrade that Blinco's did for us, we had only a few lag issues that cropped up, and future tournaments we should be able to eliminate those from affecting the results. I'll be integrating our current brackets into the OP shortly, but some interesting stats...

Starting League Breakdown:

Masters (2) - 16.6%
Diamond (2) - 16.6%
Platinum (3) - 25%
Gold (2) - 16.6%
Silver (3) - 25%
Bronze - 0%

Starting Race Breakdown:

Terran/Protoss (3) - 23.1%
Zerg (5) - 53.8%

Top 8 League Breakdown

Masters (2) - 25%
Diamond (2) - 25%
Platinum (2) - 25%
Gold  - 0%
Silver (2) - 25%

Top 8 Race Breakdown:

Terran (2) - 25%
Zerg (5) - 62.5%
Protoss (1) - 12.5%

We started with a real even league distribution (except we had no bronzies

), and a very Zerg heavy tournament - apparently, to bring out the Swarm, you have to promise some $ :D

I think for our first one, the turnout was perfect. Especially with the late start we had, if 24 people actually signed up and came we wouldn't have had enough time to finish all the matches. Something to consider for next time for sure but right now we can definitely handle a 16-man(woman) tourney no problem.

Those are some pretty interesting statistics! Did you use some kind of program or just look at the bracket and figure all that out? Very interesting that the Silvers made Top 8 over the Golds. Somehow I figured we'd have no bronzies but I was Very surprised that we had not one but TWO masters at our tourney O_O Looking forward to how things will turn out on Saturday during the final matches 8)

Thanks to everyone who came out to last weekends SC2 events! It was an epic weekend of Starcraft to say the least between our tournament finals, GSL Barcraft and MLG Spring Arena 2 Barcraft. Apologies for not being quite as personable this past weekend, was feeling rather under the weather and just kinda zoned out for most of it, just there to keep the tech running :D Glad to see some new faces trickle in!
