I am a representative from the UBC Starcraft community, and we are super excited to let you know about our upcoming barcraft event! This is a collaboration between UBC, BCIT and SFU. We are hoping that the SC community in Vancouver and nearby areas would come together for one awesome Sunday afternoon.
The event takes place on BCIT campus, at the Professor Mug's lounge and it starts from 3pm till 9pm. The ticket is only $10 and it grants you a burger, fries, and a cold pint of beer. We are also planning on throwing some side activities as well as some crazy giveaways.

Is everyone pretty friendly at these events? I love sc2 and MLG but have never gone to a Barcraft. I have quite a few gamer friends but none that follow or play sc2 like me. Worth going alone?
Yeah, man! Don't be afraid to talk to people -- one thing I noticed about the last one was some people not talking to other people. SC2 nerds are nice! Do 'er up, meet nerd friends!
I'm new to Vancouver... noticed that last MLG there was an event at Yagger's. Does anyone know if that event is likely to run again, or will this be the sole Barcraft for Providence?
(Asking cause the other location was a lot more convenient for me. But if this is the only one, will try and make it.)
Is there anywhere in Surrey I could buy a ticket? I mean, if it comes to it I'll travel to Delta or wherever to do it, but as I live in White Rockish, it'd be a bit of a trek

Looks great. I had pullout last minute and missed the tournament last weekend - this should make up for it. Finally, I'll get to see Vancouver starcraft community in person.
We capped the sales at 200 because that's how much the bar owner staffed and asked for. He let us have leeway of about 30 more, and we sold-out of at-door tickets, so I'd guess 230 We had a lot of at-door sales to make-up for some no-shows, so we actually had more than that "30 more." Haven't heard from UBC execs on official numbers yet, but time will tell!
