Hi TL,
I am a representative from the UBC Starcraft community, and we are super excited to let you know about our upcoming barcraft event! This is a collaboration between UBC, BCIT and SFU. We are hoping that the SC community in Vancouver and nearby areas would come together for one awesome Sunday afternoon.
The event takes place on BCIT campus, at the Professor Mug's lounge and it starts from 3pm till 9pm. The ticket is only $10 and it grants you a burger, fries, and a cold pint of beer. We are also planning on throwing some side activities as well as some crazy giveaways.
You can purchase our barcraft ticket online via here Buy Ticket. Or if you rather make your purchase with cash, feel free to contact me or any executive from the UBC, BCIT and SFU Starcraft Club.
You may find more information about the barcraft through this link, RSVP and EVENT INFO
[Note that this event is +19 only. Please do not forget to bring your 2 pieces of ID with you to the event]
Thank you very much everyone! I hope to see you all on Sunday UBCSC, xoxo

God damn it I was just gonna make this thread LOL.
If you're in the BCIT Burnaby area (or South Vancouver, where I live) and want a ticket, let me know. PM me here or hit me up at cedriccook1 at gmail dot com.

SpicyThaiBoy HWAITING~~
Get your ticket before it runs out!

It says "bring" twice on the banner :[
|
Two brings for two pieces of ID, just to help it sink in.
|
I don't have two pieces unless I take my Passport. I better go get my BCID. x.x

Is everyone pretty friendly at these events? I love sc2 and MLG but have never gone to a Barcraft. I have quite a few gamer friends but none that follow or play sc2 like me. Worth going alone?
|
Yeah, man! Don't be afraid to talk to people -- one thing I noticed about the last one was some people not talking to other people. SC2 nerds are nice! Do 'er up, meet nerd friends!
|
I'm repping the UBCSC that day. Come say hi if you see that loud obnoxious little me
|
holy crap, just saw what they have in Montreal, gotta step up our game now Vancouver!
|
I'm emailing Blizzard and let them hear about our little event.
|
DAMN I think I might have something going on. If not I'll be there!!
Questions:
Is this first come first serve, ticket wise?
Is there a cap on people?
How soon do you figure I need to reserve (I know ASAP, but really )?
If I have a ticket am I guaranteed entry?
Do you think you could please put the address of the venue in the OP?
|
I'm so sad that I'm from the Island and not the mainland. I want to go, but the prospect of needing to buy a hotel room is kind of ugh.

I'm new to Vancouver... noticed that last MLG there was an event at Yagger's. Does anyone know if that event is likely to run again, or will this be the sole Barcraft for Providence?
(Asking cause the other location was a lot more convenient for me. But if this is the only one, will try and make it.)
|
sweet nice to see some local events! if it wasnt at professor mugs i would definitely make it out!
ill hold off until the venue is nicer, but good to see things happening locally!
|
Is there anywhere in Surrey I could buy a ticket? I mean, if it comes to it I'll travel to Delta or wherever to do it, but as I live in White Rockish, it'd be a bit of a trek
