Intelligent design is a theory on the origin of life. Evolution is change in the properties of populations of organisms that transcend the lifetime of a single individual. They really don't have anything to do with each other. If you want to argue about the Big Bang Theory vs Intelligent Design then that makes alot more sense, but why do people think that believing in biological evolution discredits intelligent design? If anything, I would use evolution as an arguement FOR intelligent design, since it seems harder to have something that improves itself than it is to have something that just dies and is incapable of overcoming change.
